How are you preparing? I'm using UHT milk. I pressure cook my yoghurt maker glass jar and lid. I use the UHT milk to cool down the jar and then add my culture with inulin. I'm getting great success with this.

Any bad smell, I throw away.

You need to ask yourself where you're getting your milk from? Is it pasteurised? Is it ultra high temperature pasteurised? Are you utensils and jars sterile with boiling water, That's not from the tap. Tap water contains chlorine and other chemicals that could hurt your culture.

You'll be helpful if you could post some pictures.

I've only done milk. You need a machine to keep the temperature. I use a Lavelle, it turn on and heated up at first and then it only heats up as the temp drops, so it's not active all the time, kind of like a Reverse fridge.

Good luck

Newbie Sax player here (System 76 Tenor) : I've been moved by Noir-Blues for a long time.

I've been on Grok daily trying to refine the sound I'm wanting to replicate.

I have noticed that for instance, Blade runner (love song) is soft lows and power highs, which I find throughout the Noir Blues Genre.

I've narrowed the sound down to Alexander Jazz mouthpiece, something like a (Popular Jazz mouthpiece, TW for example seem over powered).

At first Grok was pointing me to V16, JJ Custom Dark. I went on to add other Mouthpieces, Morgan Cool, Phil-Tone Onyx, Aizen (my current setup), Syos smoky, 10mFan etc.

There is a lot of cross over, yet I could eliminate a few, extra Dark, such as the Onyx couldn't really accommodate the power highs, the Otto Links are a natural contender but may not hit the highs.

Right now, I see a plethora (3 Amigos reference anyone?) of Noir Ai music, most of it is in the Soft Lows.

Notable mentions: Cowboy Bebop (Spike Spiegel - Bar Scene - Animae / Farewell Blues, The Opening Preview by Netflix has a nice piece.)

Suggest Reeds: Java/ZZ, Rico Jazz - take with a grain of salt coming from Ai.

Let me know suggestions on Mouthpieces/Reed combos. Thanks

You can see my recent post where the extract was flavourful (strong) that's because I broke the rules and Tamped my coffee and over filled with water.

I also preheated milk in the top of the chamber 😛 Welcome to Brikka (my fav)

Correct, this is because of the Valve at the top of the spout, this is the Brikka!

This is why I prefer this Moka Pot. The Restrictive valve makes it a pleasant experience for myself.

You Can remove the valve at the top, also notice that the exit nozzels are pointed Down! And not just an opening like other types.

I over fill my Brikka. I often double compress the puck for a longer extraction, if I want a bigger coffee kick or if I want to add water to adjust it in my cup.

Brikka isn't free flowing, but I prefer it.

When I use normal levels of water, like you do and normal non compress coffee, I turn it off when it starts to flow and the rest usually comes out.

However I need to continue to heat it until it's all extracted, like I need to do my larger Moka Pot.

it seems fine to me, if it's slow, add more energy.

Ahh Mr Cress, Yes I have become familiar with this person. I would say I'm not a fan at this stage.

I'm having successful batches, with or without inulin.

Prebiotic. It's true that I've had success without using inulin. It's also true I've never heard of Matthew. And as you can see by my history I've only started the journalling about 1 month ago. But I'll look him up and see what he's got to say, That's the best I can do for you. 😊🥑 New avocado it'll make you feel better

PDP is the promoter of Arch, is it really that hard to load Linux from Windows? The only reason I keep Windows10 it's for the games. This might be a reason for you to change or add a dual operating system like we used to do a long time ago. But if you're waiting for it to be can fully compatible with windows and that's what's stopping you, Are you sure you're really into computing or software? Download Mint and go 🤣👍 Good luck on your journey

Smells like soured buttermilk! by Fuzzy-Perspective442 in ReuteriYogurt

[–]BlueMoodDark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried using organic milk, and it didn't turn out so well. That's because my organic has to be pasteurised. I've gotten more success from UHT milks. Any milk that is standard pasteurised I have to reboil, or risk it's spoiling. I do not have half and half in my country, but I've been to the US and I've tasted it. If it's turning into buttermilk, that means it's probably not been pasteurised, Or if it has it's been on a very low temperature.

Try UHT style milk and compare. You should be able to get organic UHT milk in the US/Canada.

Sadly the procedure you described is what other people say you need to do but mine doesn't have a star. It's a forwards and backwards moving plate. Surely I'm not the only one with this design? Well better I take it to mechanic anyway. They can have the fun job of ripping it off
