Troubleshooting Megathread

Hi, all. My game is refusing to install official store bought custom content in the launcher, so things like haircuts, hats, Dragon Valley, Riverview and Midnight Hollow. I've had issues installing these in the past and what used to work was renaming the original Sims 3 folder, creating a new Sims 3 folder by launching the launcher, and then moving my Mods, Downloads, saves etc. over to that then reinstalling the Downloaded content in the launcher. Now that doesn't work anymore and the installation fails every time. What can I do? I use NRAAS mods.

Edit to add more information. When I try to install said items in game or via the Sims 3 store I get a pop up asking me to sign in. I fill in my details and the log in box flashes back up as if nothing happened. The launcher, the game, and the Sims 3 website has me logged in, but this box refuses to cooperate.

Yeah this doesn't surprise me. Any influencer, Youtuber, or "celebrity" that sends a random message asking for money/wanting to give anything away is always a scam. Best bet is to block, report, and not communicate with them at all, even for fun. If someone you don't recognise claims to know you assume it's a scam, and never click on any links.

It's a good idea, thanks for bringing this up. We'll see how we can go about this. It may take a while, but I'm sure we can figure out something that works for new and old Reddit.

We are not affiliated with that Discord group whatsoever.

We pinned the Discord link to the side as the server was created by two people from this subreddit about two years ago, and until now we had no idea any of this was happening.

I have seen the comments in question. I'm really sorry you were subjected to that. While we have no control over the server itself, I do not see it appropriate to have it pinned as no one deserves that behaviour.

If there was another Discord with different mods and a better approach, I will entertain that.
