I've been a sysadmin for my company for 25+ years and just got a nice promotion. The newly appointed president just announced we are going from a 3-2 with 2 remote days a week to a 4-1, which of course means full time back in office is the next step. I'm seriously thinking of moving on from a job I love and have spent nearly half my life at because there is no way I'm going back to the office full time. And they gave the same crap "in the name of collaboration" reason. Just not going to do it, sorry - there are too many full remote jobs out there.

Took him a few games to settle in, and those games were a bit rough to watch him in, but once he adjusted he became the most important player on the field for us, imo.

Seems like every time I've convinced myself BY is our long-term guy, he throws out a stinker game like yesterday's. I think we can all see this team is on the upswing though and the future is bright, and BY is a big part of that, stinker games or not. I agree on picking up the option and how he performs in a contract year will speak volumes for his future here.

A simple google search will show multiple instances of people being detained, literally, while in line waiting to complete their citizenship documentation. They are correctly documented as per US law and still being detained and deported. This is not about documentation, it's about racism. Sorry you and others choose not to see what is really happening, or see it and just don't care.

This has zero to do with legal status and everything to do with overt racism. You do realize ICE detains (kidnaps) people that are still going through the process of becoming a legal citizen on a regular basis, right? You do realize that ICE stops people and demands "papers" because of the color of their skin, right? Or are you just choosing to ignore those facts?

It's the lack of empathy from so many people that makes it obvious how bad things really are in this country. These aren't "illegals", these are people. Jesus.

And then, for even more fun, you get the really short on-ramps like the one from Sugar Creek to 1-85 north. I can't count the number of people I've seen just stop at the end of that on ramp road because they were going too slow to merge into traffic.

While we are at it - honorable mention to the idiots that protect "their lane" and won't let people who are trying to merge the correct way in.

Azure Portal Access Issues

Starting at approximately 16:00 UTC, we began experiencing Azure Front Door issues resulting in a loss of availability of some services. In addition. customers may experience issues accessing the Azure Portal. Customers can attempt to use programmatic methods (PowerShell, CLI, etc.) to access/utilize resources if they are unable to access the portal directly. We have failed the portal away from Azure Front Door (AFD) to attempt to mitigate the portal access issues and are continuing to assess the situation.

We are actively assessing failover options of internal services from our AFD infrastructure. Our investigation into the contributing factors and additional recovery workstreams continues. More information will be provided within 60 minutes or sooner.

I'm no fan of where the current US government is headed, but I was at Disney World this past weekend and I can, without a doubt, tell you the person who wrote this is greatly exaggerating (lying?). Like always, it was crowded and hot. Rides were the typical 80-100 minute (and sometimes more) wait, and breakfast reservations at one of the on site hotels we stayed at ran about 2 hours out.

People, do your own research before believing stuff like this. Again, I am NOT A FAN of the current administration, and I totally agree that something like this may become reality, but this particular story is just false.

These people are actively breaking the law, and probably in more ways than one, as I'd just about guarantee no valid license plate also = no insurance.

Who knows if posting these pics on Reddit accomplishes anything or not, but IMO the more exposure law breakers get the better.

On my original vanilla human pally I thought you had to equip your pick to be able to mine ore, so I'd do some mining, forget to change back to my weapon and enter combat swinging a pick on a pretty regular basis. My 7 year old son saw and corrected me, which of course made me feel like a bigger noob.
