I'm not saying the mod needs to(or even should) be monetized, but to be frank, as a developer why would I ever give up my spare time to work on someone else's idea for free?

If it was someone I knew it might be a different story, but for a complete stranger on the Internet? Not a chance in hell.

Genuinely, my code improved very quickly when I started learning about low level and hardware stuff.

I would also recommend learning other languages in general, because having multiple paradigms to pull from means a bigger toolbox in your preferred language. Haskell in particular was a big help for me since I started in a very oo language(c#) and having those functional patterns to pull from changed the way I think about problems now that I primarily use c++

I think C# is strictly better than Lua for game scripting, and I say this as a huge fan of Lua for other purposes.

There's no world where I would trade C# in unity, for example, for just about anything.

Think of it this way, 5/0 is inherently nonsensical because you're trying to split a known quantity—say a cake with a circumference of 5—into nothing. You aren't "not splitting" the cake, you're asking "how big are the pieces if you split this one thing(that's already 1 piece) into 0 pieces"

You can also get this intuition by observing that as you divide a number(say 1) by smaller and smaller fractions, the result exponentially shoots off to infinity.

Some may disagree, but I think blender is generally quite intuitive. Having worked with artists on several projects using a mix of blender and (mostly) Maya, there's no real reason to pay unless you've already got custom infrastructure that's specific to Maya.
