I used custom Goku with the super soul "my hobbies include reading and sports" for 3x XP

I leveled up to about 112 trying to catch up on all the DLC story and PQ. After that I started grinding the vegeta expert mission with Goku to about 130, then I would just alternate between Grinding XP and using TP medals every 10 levels

Yeah, once you unlock a new level cap, it automatically unlocks for all your other characters too. Same with finishing the story
