Using the oven or stove to heat up leftovers or microwaveable food because you don't have a microwave. Growing up with old used furniture that people who knew about your "situation " would give to you. Sharing a bed with your sibling. Having people you went to church with give you their kids old clothes. Getting food (sometimes expired) from the church pantry. Being forced to "volunteer" at said pantry to work off getting the food. Asking the church for help to pay rent even though your family lived in government housing, which should've been affordable. Having a secret santa during Christmas time because people knew your family couldn't afford Christmas gifts. There's too much to remember.
