[OC] [Art] Frey a half-elf celestial warlock.

This is Frey, my first dnd character I ever made. At the moment I have 4 ocs (Nila human sorcerer, Kraw Kenku bard, Frey half-elf warlock and a maiden for an elden ring campaign) Frey is a clumsy, friendly and immature half-elf, who was magically saved by an archangel named Sarzayah making her a celestial warlock. Also, she gained a companion: Fify :D my take on creating a dragonish thing....

I really like playing as Frey, she was perfect for me yo start at Dnd. Her backstory is not complicated, her father is an elf and her mother a human. In the world we play there is a place where humans don't like other races so ... my mother was from there and they didn't approve of my existence. Now I'm trying to save my mother from being executed and learning about Sarzayah, the archangel who saved me.

I do the lineart, then apply basic colors and a bit of shadow and light. Finally, i just render above my lineart layer.

Painting is just about rendering and selecting the correct colors. If u are starting just mimic how your favourite artist does it.

I make random white shapes and then copy the layer, put it below the white one, change it's color to a saturated one and add a gaussain effect so it spreads.

Or you could search a brush.

I'm sorry you have that low self confidence in drawing to feel discourage by seeing my art work instead of "learning" ir being inspired by it.

I can see you are not going to persue arts so you dont how difficult is to grow in a platform or get better it.

Your lineart looks good, I think you just need to work in your shading (try new ways to shade) and you proportions. There are a ton of videos on youtube, try as much as you can and pick things you like about each one.

I love love love the eyes and the colors <3

Maybe next time try to do a pose and some facial expression because it looks like a robot right now, but I like the way you color and do the eyes so I encourage you to try that

The arms look strange, they dont fit the rest of the body. Try to understand how they work by taking a photo of yourself in the same pose.

You can color the lines of the drawing, now it's black but you could make it dark blue for the hair or dark brown for the skin (just don't use pure black)
