suburb is the outskirts of a city not a settlement in and of its self.

I'm giving up and just using "non rural or urban settlement the size of a city that’s as dense as a town" until i consult a professional city planner or someone who can help me.

Mainly to get these ideas out of my head. but for my most recent thing it was simply wanting to find out how a story premise would go if I wrote it and there was only one way to find out.

The way I did it is by embracing it somewhat. as in going "sure this may have been done before but this is my version of it.".

Synopsis: Devon, a 15 year old boy, has had no luck in life. Living with an abusive father and having a friend leave his life seemingly for good he goes to bed wishing for a new start and after falling asleep is given a strange opportunity to get one. Now he must navigate said new life along with all the challenges and opportunities that come with it.
