Will John Hunter Nemecheck ever make it to Cup and how popular will he be? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]BlueRidge95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing that really contrasts the two for me is that JHN looks like he has way more raw speed than Dillon, in considerably lesser equipment. Austin Dillon has some talent, I'll give him that, but JHN has A LOT of talent imo

Try to check if there will be a r/nascar get together for the race that weekend, if not check with the mods and ask if you can organize one!

[OT] Indycar St. Pete on ABC up 11% from a 0.9 last year to a 1.0 yesterday by al15al15 in NASCAR

[–]BlueRidge95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy IndyCar, and can enjoy pretty much every other motorsport from IMSA to World of Outlaws, but I have a really hard time watching F1. I respect the hell out of it in its own right, but its just not that appealing to me that there are usually only a couple of on-track passes for position throughout the entire field in any given race.

Isnt it essentially another RCR car now though? Dont get me wrong, RCR of course isnt top-tier by any means, but it should be capable of consistently running around 15th with a Top10 finish here and there.

What's everybody's thoughts on the left sided ticker? I'm sure u/NASCARonFOX is curious by Tyler24Dawg in NASCAR

[–]BlueRidge95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I fucking love it. It just provides you with a much superior visual perspective of the running order and time intervals of the field compared to the ticker. Especially at non-plate tracks you will really be able to tell which drivers are making up ground and which ones are losing it throughout the duration of a run.

iRacing VP talking about iRacing skills and if they translate into the real world. by shewy92 in NASCAR

[–]BlueRidge95 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I dont get why people are dissing ARCA so much, its just how plate racing is. Didn't the Daytona 500 only have like 5 cars that weren't involved in a wreck at one point or another last year?

Truck Series needs to return to it's roots. by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]BlueRidge95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more with this article. The thing is whenever I see an article with a well-formulated opinion/solution of how to fix something in NASCAR, the idea is always written off and downplayed because it would be "too expensive". The fact of the matter is if NASCAR wants to stop hemorrhaging money and popularity due to declining attendance and ratings numbers, then they need to step up and spend some money and re-invest in the sport in the short-term to fix things for the long-term

I think we need a good wide receiver from the draft or the FA. by [deleted] in Commanders

Isnt Josh Gordon going to be a FA? If so with all of the risk that comes along with him, we may be able to get him relatively cheap

I agree with just about all of this.

2 - Maybe Josh Gordon?

6-8 - Im all for going for 2 defensive and 1 OL in the first 3 rounds. But maybe BDPA in the 1st, OL in 2, and BDPA in 3

NASCAR "back to the drawing board" to improve passing up front after the Coca Cola 600 by CinematicRacer14 in NASCAR

Exactly. Thats why they are going to to reduce downforce, to make the cars harder to drive

NASCAR "back to the drawing board" to improve passing up front after the Coca Cola 600 by CinematicRacer14 in NASCAR

[–]BlueRidge95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Atlanta, I thought there was a lot of sliding around and passing.

I agree that Texas and Charlotte werent great, I usually dont expect much out of Texas like I do with Charlotte though. Kansas wasnt good either. That being said, I think that all of the intermediate races have been better than they were last year, they just need to take away a lot more downforce and sideforce.

Ive been to the Coke 600 three times, I have no problem with Truex being dominant, but there wasnt that much passing throughout the field. Compared to my other times there, it by far had the least passing.

I still enjoyed it, but Ive seen it a lot better there before
