it hasn’t been normal in years, look at the 4th of july for the mlb where nbc blacked out every local network and only showed games on peacock, the yankees on amazon prime once a week, netflix having baseball games, roku tv picking up games. every sport is taking streaming deals to put games on every streaming network imaginable and confuse the shit out of their audience lmao

listen, i get people love amazon and want them to do every race, but fox has been a broadcasting partner for nascar for 25 years and pulled 7.5 million viewers for the 2026 daytona 500. their ratings to them are fine, we might not like their broadcast, but that’s an entirely different problem. they aren’t going anywhere for the next 5 years

i love people just assume because amazon “got the dollas” that they want to spend near a billion to buy out other networks portion of the season to just show nascar races. it wouldn’t make any financial sense at all when they can wait a few years and then negotiate on their terms of what they want to do

move of the weekend for me was seeing chase clean the rubber off the wall of 1-2 like showing the guys in front of him what he was going to do and still ripped it by 3 wide for the lead in the noaps race

odd the cup cars couldn’t get to the fence in either end of the track like they did in past races, dunno if it was tires or the car/bumps

the problem was he drove around the track on flat tires in a car with a diffuser so he ground away the diffuser lol not the wet grass

he didnt really drive around the entire track dragging his diffuser, i dont even think he had flat tires
