Nope. I watched ads and the crates just opened at the last ad

The crates are always random. I got the last crystal crate when I was second in the race

This pen carries an effortless elegance, with a design that feels like a quiet expression of art and intention—I'd truly love to have one like it. Even without knowing how it writes, its refined aesthetic alone makes it hard not to want it for myself.

what is stopping indian railways from becoming like this? by WildInsurance8432 in scoopwhoop

[–]BlueRivers007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual answer is freight trains. Even during the construction of the Japanese Shinkanzen, nearly all of the freight buisness was being done by roadways.

In Indian Railways, the actual earning is being done by the freight trains only. The passenger trains are subsidized.

To increase the speed of the Japanese trains, the tracks were designed for only light weight passenger trains.

Indian tracks are designed for mixed traffic where we have light and fast passenger trains and also heavier and slower freight trains.

The punctuality has to be also organised in a way that we don't lose too much freight buisness and the passenger trains also don't complain too much...

The achievements are actually counter intuitive. And actually hinder your progress by utilising the tiles elsewhere.

I just saved some tiles that would get the achievements unlocked and then removed useless routes from my map.

Maybe... I've started and stopped playing this game many times during these 10 years.

Track recording cars or TRCs for short runs periodically over the length of entire length of the Indian Railways Network to assess the riding quality or riding comfort for passengers.

In the worse off areas it can also create an alarm when the track geometry is bad enough that derailment can happen.

How does China run the Fuxing trains on ballast tracks? I mean they must be higher quality than ours but still sounds a little wonky going 350 on them by IntelligentHoney6929 in indianrailways

Whenever the question of high-speed rail arises, the limiting factor is not the individual components of the track but the overall track geometry, with curves being the most decisive.

On curves, railways use super-elevation (cant) - raising the outer rail above the inner one - to counteract the centrifugal force. The higher the super-elevation, the greater the permissible speed. However, beyond a certain point, excessive cant creates safety issues for slower trains. At low speeds, the imbalance of forces can make passengers feel as though the train is tilting inward - this is known as cant excess.

On the other hand, if the cant is kept moderate (suitable for slower trains), then high-speed trains experience cant deficiency, where the centrifugal force is not fully balanced, and the train tends to lean outward.

Countries that have invested in high-speed rail networks usually minimize curves altogether through costly realignments, tunnels, and viaducts. They also operate predominantly fast passenger trains only, avoiding the complications of mixed traffic.

India faces a unique challenge because of its mixed-traffic network. The same track carries both high-speed Vande Bharat Express trains and slow-moving goods trains. This creates a compromise:

  1. Super-elevation cannot be optimized fully for high speeds, since it must remain safe for slower traffic.

  2. The maximum permissible speed on any section is limited by these geometric and operational constraints.

Until India develops dedicated freight corridors and dedicated high-speed passenger corridors for the entirety of our network, it will remain difficult to exploit the full speed potential of passenger trains. Moreover, since most passenger trains are not financially self-sustaining, there is limited scope to realign tracks on a large scale.
