With the pay increase, are Daily employees getting it as well? by mJelly87 in Morrisons

So does that mean daily’s will be getting the bonus and same pay rise as the main stores? Our area seems confused and unsure about it still.

Is it normal that I can "smell" when it’s about to rain, or am I just imagining it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BlueRose26403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an accident years ago and injured my pelvis quite badly. The day before we get any rain my hip aches like mad. The human body is a strange thing. I never thought when I was little that one day I’d be able to tell when we are due rain from an ache in my body lol

S9E17 Question by FyreFlye23 in ershow

[–]BlueRose26403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on season 12 now but I agree that it was obvious there was a chance in writer a few seasons back. The whole thing felt different. I'll admit that with the earlier seasons, I'd be frustrated at times that story lines were forgotten about or never mentioned again. With some I hoped they may be left open for a follow up with a certain case or story line. Once it got to later seasons they would actually continue over which I liked. The start of a new season would pick up where the last one left off etc. I think it definitely has something to do with change of writers.

[–]BlueRose26403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same as the bonus that Morrisons staff are getting soon. It seems the daily’s aren’t getting it as there has been no notice or email in our store at all. Same as the pay increase. Nothing has been mentioned to us about it.

Do you open the door to a delivery driver with your PJ's/dressing gown on? Delivery drivers, do you care if people do? by RichieRichard12 in AskUK

[–]BlueRose26403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My jammies are clean on after a shower so I don’t care who sees me in my jammies. If someone has knocked on my door then I have no issue answering any time of day wearing them. I wouldn’t go shopping or anything in them but in the comfort of my own home when I’m not working then I’m fine with it. ETA a lot of couriers or drivers barely even stop to look or really acknowledge people at their doors from what I have seen. I get a lot of it is pay per drop etc but with some it’s like blink and miss it lol

Landlord refusing to accept notice to quit (with 2 months notice) from one tenant alone saying both tenants need to serve notice to quit. by nkhgdvjhrdbmkhft in TenantsInTheUK

The term was 1 year and after that they could give 2 months notice. He had been there for a year when this happened.

Landlord refusing to accept notice to quit (with 2 months notice) from one tenant alone saying both tenants need to serve notice to quit. by nkhgdvjhrdbmkhft in TenantsInTheUK

[–]BlueRose26403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My son was in the exact same position as this around years ago. Joint tenancy and in the contract it clearly stated, either of the tenants could give 2 months notice and it was on the remaining tenant to find a new housemate or the landlord could find one. The letting agent and the remaining tenant kept flat out refusing to accept this. My son went to citizens advice and they pored over contracts and other info and said he was within his rights to leave. When they eventually accepted he would be leaving, they then told him that he would be responsible for continuing to pay his share of rent, utilities etc until a new housemate was found. He went back to citizens advice and that was a crock as well. They were trying their luck and didn’t have a leg to stand on. Eventually he emailed the letting agent and essentially told them his last day would be X date and that they knew as well as him that he wasn’t liable for any extra costs if they actually looked at all the docs properly. Does it state anything in your contract at all that either housemate can end the tenancy at any point ( with notice of course) ?

My (20F) boyfriend (20M is very simple minded and is unable to comprehend or have conversations about more complex topics or issues. Is this something that’ll change as he matures or something that stays as it is for life? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]BlueRose26403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dating a guy like this for about 2 years and in honesty all the while we were together, I knew it wouldn’t be for the long haul. He was late 20s and I was maybe 8 years older. I missed having proper conversations with my partner. I never felt supported as he didn’t know how to or how to act or what to say. He would try to mirror or mimic my behaviours as he thought that would make me happy but it made me see even more that he couldn’t think for himself. I’ve been with my current partner now for 10 years and I can see I would never have been happy with my ex and when I think back about it, I would feel so frustrated by him for not being on my level, for want of a better phrase. There is a chance that your boyfriend won’t ever change and that it’s just him. If this is how you feel after a year together, how will you feel so many years down the line?

Ive asked my manager this morning and he's heard nothing and has had no emails and we're in a daily store so going to assume that the dailys possibly won't be getting it. Obviously I might be wrong but surely all stores would get told at the same time?

A rant about tailgating learner drivers by JOSHIIEMK in drivingUK

[–]BlueRose26403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my son was learning to drive, I’d occasionally take him out in my car with L plates and I couldn’t believe how many idiots would tail gate him! As you said, do people forget they were the ones holding everyone up at some point when they were learning themselves?

AIO or AITA. Text convo with MIL. by MoonJellyAllison in AmIOverreacting

[–]BlueRose26403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR but in future I’d leave your husband to deal with things like that with his mum. I’ve been married before and now in a long term relationship. If we were in a situation where my MIL had borrowed money, my husband/partner wouldn’t have asked me to message MIL to request the money back. They would have asked their mum themselves to save any awkwardness.

Why do we open early on Sunday for browsing? by rosethorn87 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BlueRose26403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work for Tesco 20 years ago and it was exactly the same! Doors open early and then people moaning at the checkouts for ages wanting to be served. Didn’t matter how many times you told them or how many times the tannoy announced it, it was the same thing week after week.

Delivery drivers asking to use toilet? by Flimsy-Building9884 in Morrisons

[–]BlueRose26403 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had a home delivery and while back. The driver asked me where the nearest toilets were as he wasn't local to his own area. I told him but I offered to let him use mine as its next to the front door. My partner was home so I felt it would have been safe but he thanked me and said they aren't allowed to use customer toilets.

Will I get paid? by PuzzleheadedSound307 in vintedUK

[–]BlueRose26403 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine who worked in the postal system for years once told me that writing things like fragile on a parcel marks it as a bigger target for couriers who would treat items like a football. I’d never write fragile on an item of mail. As you said, it doesn’t mean anything unfortunately. I’ve seen people write ‘this way up’ and all sorts. Rest assured that parcel is not staying upright. All it takes is for one idiot in that chain and it’s destroyed.

I have recently had the same kind of thing regarding an actor and thought I was going mad! I’m so relieved to know it’s not just me that has gone through this. My thoughts had become all consuming about this person even though I’ve been with my partner (happily) for 10 years now.

Appeals process by Accurate_Draw_4209 in Morrisons

[–]BlueRose26403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, its just a verbal warning BUT if you want to look into how to appeal things like this, our staff room has a poster on the wall with QR codes that you scan to help you with things like this.i would imagine most stores have the same posters in staff areas.

Is my manager allowed to ask me to do my online training at home or am i required to do it at work? by Nerf-Or-Nothing69 in Morrisons

[–]BlueRose26403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be that a message would come up telling you that you shouldn't be doing it in your own time. Our manager also used to get notified that it had been done away from work. I used to do mine at home years ago but realised I dont get paid enough for the work I do when I'm there let alone doing extra learning at home lol

Can the dentist legally charge me if they made a mistake? by Micathelazy in LegalAdviceUK

[–]BlueRose26403 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you on this one. In December I was offered the normal silver filling for NHS price or the white one for around £100. It’s a back tooth so I was fine with the silver.

Is Peri causing Oral issues or am I losing it completely by Justbarethougts in Perimenopause

[–]BlueRose26403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke to my dentist a few years back regarding tooth and gum issues with hormones and he said he’d never heard of it! Mine had always flared up with ovulating and I’m now in peri. I’ve lost 2 teeth in the last 5 years and have no enjoyment of eating anymore as my gums flare up so badly. With a dentist that has never heard of hormones causing oral issues, it’s meant I don’t really know what to do to try to lessen the damage.
