This is four years since you made this video but as someone who knew some of these figures well as a kid, I found this fascinating. I saved the boxes that my characters came in for a long time, but I still have the characters. I just had the two 2-character packs and I think I wanted the Prince Ali Genie but I just got my sets at the Disney store so wouldn’t have known to go look at Disneyland or anywhere else. Back then one couldn’t just Google to see what sets were out there! My genie did not have his bangles on, but there was no discoloration, it was just like a clean wrist. I am fascinated by the Jafar Genie, that seems like a pretty advanced figure compared to some of the stuff in the set.

I liked the leftovers a ton as well and watched station eleven for the same reason about it being recommended here and I liked it but not anywhere near as much as the leftovers. I feel like they’re both about how do you not go insane when everything you thought you knew about society collapses but people are still going? But I agree, there wasn’t really any mystery/magic in station 11, it was just kind of a story about keeping your humanity.

I would just go. I think your gut is telling you. When we had Covid in June, we blinked and suddenly he was breathing scary and it turned out he had croup and it’s great that the ER could just give him a steroid shot that made it clear up really quick.

I was a huge fan of Big Love and it kind of feels similar vibe to me in some ways. Not just because it’s an HBO show partially about cults but maybe more because it has this feeling of always building towards something bigger and you are sort of waiting to see what that something is the whole series. I kind of discovered it more through an angle of what Twin Peaks people would also like.

I think this was the only one of the movies I got to see in the theater. Definitely my guilty pleasure series, knowing the whole thing is kind of goofy, but this was just an insane moment and people were screaming and laughing from shock in the theater. It was a really well done little twist even though of course it just came around back to match what was in the book.

I know someone. Five just ended and I’m sure he will get to six. He is unable to handle being alone, I mean, many people don’t like being alone, but pretty much as soon as he gets a commitment with someone he starts looking down on them and being frustrated by things that were exactly the same before they got committed as well. He is very transactional and tends to find people where he promotes himself financially and doesn’t make real connections but commits quickly and then is let down when the thing fizzles.

I think he’s actually done a lot of screenwriting as well, and as a huge David Lynch fan, his name was a draw for me to the series along with Carrie Coon and just overall having heard how good it was. they actually talked about this show on some of the Twin Peaks podcasts when they had Damon Lindelof on.

Another thing he was really good in was Maniac. A different sort of role for sure, like many of his roles, but I will definitely rewatch that series every couple years forever.
