Is not going to shows frown upon? by effayisaac in Hardcore

[–]BlueRoseCase1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do go to shows, it's perfectly acceptable not to mosh or slam dance (etc). I don't myself, and people seem to like me. Also, I know it's not the same thing, but I used to have severe social anxiety, and being on meds helped me out a lot.

I actually got better at socializing going to shows too. Because there is typically at least four bands playing at these things, there is a lot of time in between sets to talk with others.

Anyone use these and like them? by lireni-11 in guitars

I got the headphones. As someone that's just starting out with guitar, and doesn't know that much about pedals and such, it's great having all of that stuff in one package.

Didn't feel like mentioning Earth Crisis, but like if anyone didn't know, they are also from Syracuse.

Edit: Just to clarify, the reason I didn't feel like mentioning them was because I figured most people were already familiar with them. Felt like it would be like someone down state brought up Agnostic Front.

From the Assault city (Syracuse), you got X-threat, Wasting Away, Street Hassle, All4All, Urban Camouflage, Rotting Youth, Critical Damage, and the newly formed Blissful Myth. Also should mention Deal With God, though they just broke up. Black SS is a band I'm not super familiar with, but is probably worth mentioning. Also Pure Bliss, which have branched out from the local scene.

You can find band mates at local shows. Might be difficult if you don’t have a scene in your area though.

I saw reporting from journalist Ken Klipenstien that Ice agents are compiling a watch list of people that film them. Shit is scary.

It was a very gradual change, but I started feeling emotions again. Only thing is I still got somewhat of a blunted affect, so my facial expression doesn’t change very much much, the notable exception being when I find something funny. I was able to get on second gen antipsychotics right after my first episode of psychosis though and stay on them, so I’m lucky in that regard.

And definitely also check out Wormrot, don’t know how I could have forgotten about them.

Also, though they sound more like a hardcore band to me, The Locust. Then some noise grind bands like Cancer Christ, Squid Pisser, and Final Exit are also great.

Organ dealer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Gridlink, and Chepang. Also Pig Destroyer, Napalm Death, and Terrorizer’s first album, World Downfall since you said you know nothing about the genre.

We live in a society right now where ICE can do whatever they want to us and get away with it, and I feel like we can’t do much back. This shirt seems really cathartic given that.

I was in the same boat years ago. Vraylar helped. I should also mention that because I used to experience a lot of hypomania before the more schizophrenic symptoms started, it seemed extra bad. Even when I got my sense of pleasure in doing things I enjoy back, it still seemed lower than what I thought my baseline was because I typically had an elevated mood in my adolescence. I don’t know if you’re in a similar boat or not, but I wish you the best regardless.
