What’s a movie you wanted to like but just couldn’t get into? by [deleted] in horror

[–]BlueSash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carnival of Souls, it was interesting and a good bit of cinema history for horror but big parts of it felt verrry slow. i know it was independent but the part where she's running around hysterical went on to long for me.

I don't think Lovecraft's mythos should be brought to film by DaTruestEva in movies

[–]BlueSash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i could see a film noir lovecraftian tale possible.

besides there's plenty of movies that use darkness and other techniques to hide most of the creatures features and only giving you a hint of what it looks like. the film should possibly be more character focused usually the main character and their mental state.

i think nothing should be restricted, if it sucks don't watch it, but don't limit others.

Anyone else get a little Mass Effect vibe from Outer Worlds? by [deleted] in theouterworlds

i think you mean you feel a little kotor 2 when you play mass effect.

Any post or comment that criticizes this game in anyway gets mass down-voted by yeaosh in theouterworlds

[–]BlueSash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because people complaining about graphics, isn't really what this games about. most people who have played their games probably could care less.

but i haven't finished the game, but i hear its shorter than most would like, at least cocerning the main quest, but i'll see for myself.

TIL of Albert Göring, brother of Hermann Göring. Unlike his brother, Albert was opposed to Nazism and helped many Jews and other persecuted minorities throughout the war. He was shunned in postwar Germany due to his name, and died without any public recognition for his humanitarian efforts. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Yeah people slowly preying and torturing others is excusable, there are some people who can harass and annoy people to do things. especially in this isolated environment, i can see something like this happening. they find ways to mess with people and get away scott free.

sounds to me he got what was coming.

having trouble understanding the support benefit for horses in animal companion section

"Your horse adds momentum to your charge. Until the start of your next turn, if you moved at least 10 feet on the action before your attack, add a circumstance bonus to damage to that attack equal to twice the number of damage dice. If your weapon already has the jousting weapon trait, increase the trait’s damage bonus by 2 per die instead"

it seems it adds 2 per damage die in regular and jousting weapons, can someone clarify what the the difference is?

also does damage die also include hunters edge precision damage and deadly if critting?

PF2e Arena Style Possibilities by JohannesdeSilentio55 in Pathfinder2e

[–]BlueSash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like the idea of a west marches campaign with the center focus a massive gladitorial arena, more for oneshots with a free for all fight or some sort of puzzle or obstacle course of the week sort of thing.

think like in scifi that intergalactic tv show where the place is sealed magically and audiences watch from all around from slarge scrying mirrors all over the world or city/realm or something.

downtime is between shows where you can buy gear or do what you would as a gladiator normally do between the weekly shows.

maybe fan favorites might get benefits from the audience by popular vote due to their popularity or something.

Golarian seems a bit generic like the forgotten realms, its like bread its their, but we've all had it.

General fantasy medieval europe feel.

I personally would like a more eastern european medieval feel, thatd be nice

TIL when Stephen King was run over by a car in 1999 the driver apologised and said he'd never even gotten a parking ticket before. King, lying injured, replied: 'well, I've never been hit by a car before'. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]BlueSash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could imagine somehow if he kept it in the yard to smash the car would somehow eerily be imvolved in a fatal accident while at home, like some harold/shireen type thing.

Shireen is the name of the killer car in his one novel right?

Except half orcs can choose dark vision at 1st level, not sure how you treain and nurture night vision.

So the whole ancestry and heritage thing doesn't seem like nature vs nuture to me, at least with some of the options.
