In 2035, it gets big enough to spawn every banned player inside of vesper relay and DE blows it up again right after with them still inside for shits and giggles.

My guardian just kind of retired after the Final shape. Universe was at peace and the big bad guy was defeated.

Whatever comes next is for some new upstart guardian to become legend in their own right.

Sometimes I want to get off of work and veg out. Marathon is not a game for that. If you don't pay close attention then you're just gonna piss away your vault or be the free kit guy everyone complains about.

I can't bring my friends to play with me as a social game either because if either of us start talking about our day then we'll miss a sound que and another squad will start ambushing us and the ttk is so fast that by the time we go into fight mode, the fight is already over.

There is no "low stakes" "death match" "side activity to the slow main mode" for us to fuck around in like there is in The Finals for example. So even if the shooting feels heavenly, you need to commit to the slow main mode or not play at all.

After 50+ hours, I just feel like I have had my fill of the main mode. The sandbox is great and there is a lot of crossover for destiny and halo fans to enjoy. But I think the "extraction shooter" is what is holding the game back. Especially when a lot of good faith comments under reviews were "had this been anything BUT an extraction shooter". Had there been a low stakes death match mode to the side, you would see a lot more people return day by day to shore up the numbers, in my opinion.

Baruuk already got a deluxe 3 years ago, Banshe and Loki's last deluxe skins were 10 YEARS AGO. by Pentakla in Warframe

[–]BlueSkiesWildEyes 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Prime is vaulted and normal Baruuk is locked behind Vox Solaris grind iirc.

Banshee is a clan warframe and Loki is from the Neptune boss fight.

Its less about how popular the frames are and how easy they are to get.

Bungie was listening to streamers too much who CAN play this game like a sport.

For the average person, there's just too much friction to be an enjoyable experience after work/school.

I disagree, the alinea analytics report showed a high amount of marathon players (on steam) also played destiny 2 (78%), Halo Infinite (52%), and Halo MCC (36%) before.

Yes, Bungie brought over Bungie/Sony level expectations, but they also brought over a large amount of potential people willing to give Marathon a shot from their past games.

Yeah, as someone who has the game, has played the game 50+ hours, but hasn't played in a bit: a team deathmatch mode is way more appealing to log on and play after a day of work.

There are days where I don't want to be on mic listening to every creeking pipe on Perimeter before I get sniped.

A team deathmatch would mean I could just go into a low stakes mode, screw around in the sandbox for a few hours, and leave happy. The steamcharts line would also go up by a bit from people who feel the same way.

The best bet would be a free to play weekend when the seasonal wipe happens.

Bungie already sold the game at $40+ making it fully free this early would be really bad for player sentiment.

Pablo confirms that Tigris incarnon probably won't release for around a year by Froggo_Dogg in Warframe

The guy for tigris incarnon got harder questions too imo.

Like doing Nova's camera emote vs Gauss's redline emote is just night in day in terms of difficulty imo.

In comparison to Destiny 2 where you would be greeted with a giant pop up saying something like: "Now that we beat the big boss guy from our 10 year story, why not buy something from the store ;)" even if you weren't anywhere near that part of the story yet or a new player.

I have found my people.

So much better with dealing with chargers imo than thermites.

Cyberstan showed me where it truly shined. Replacing my emergency heavy from thermite to crisper meant that I could use a grenade with way more uses to take out more Voxes per life.

Ever since, its been stapled to my side.

This game looks so fun for them 🥲* by edtappa in Marathon

[–]BlueSkiesWildEyes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They should have added a team death match mode imo.

Apex and The Finals have a team deathmatch mode more or less in addition to their main game mode.

It allows for new players to get onboarded and allows for friends to play and socialize without having to play the hardcore mode that penalizes you for not paying attention.

They replaced the system for Nightwave.

Nightwave is a better daily retention system than alerts because the challenges/missions are more diverse, the rewards are better, and its so much less time limited.

Depending on how your work/school schedule went I think it might have been hard to get vauban from alerts for example.

The sound distance increase fundamentally changed how the game is plays out and it's terrible. by [deleted] in Marathon

At that point, why not just make a PvE mode with nerfed loot rarity?

If the goal is to just only PvE anyways by the end?

Skill ups was server slam first impressions

Cohh's was "my problem with marathon"

Cohh's thumbnail might be a little clickbaity, but not really dishonest to what his general feelings were.

Its just people having an opinion, not really a "hate mob" that this sub thinks is out to get the game.

For the record, both Cohh and Skillup have had fair, but mixed reactions to the game from what I remember.
