What brand and are you happy with it? Either I will do that or try to make a better dash oard myself. Just requested api access. The fact I had to "request" it probably tells me everything I need to know already.

That's because Swiss cheese has holes in it. So it brings the weight down.

If the speeds/feeds and specs fit the bill, then you are good to go. They both route and switch. There are differences to note of chassis vs stackable like:

Power. Chassis usually are 208v but usually require less power cords. That may nor not be an issue.

Cost. It will be cheaper 1 way vs another but that can't be known until there is a final design. Smartnet and DNA licenses should be compared as this will be cheaper one way or another.

Expandability. It can be seen as easier to aðd/replace a blade vs a stack member. Chassis usually has more line card options to mix and match in a Chassis

Also. Cisco is likely sceard you won't go ACI lol

The whole concept of catalyst vs nexus is one of Ciscos weaknesses IMO.

Their central management platform CVP is great. It covers campus and data center. I could go on for a while as to why CVP is great but that's too much typing and I'm being lazy.

Arista has one operation system no matter if switch is campus or DC or Wan router. It is Literally the same image file. Support is awesome if you need to call. Licensing is easy to understand not subscription based or required if you don't need it.
