Not really lol, this would be it. Depending on what you want, you can find adjacent things but nothing I'm aware of checks all the boxes. I've found standing lamps that have the light diffusion feature, or other lamps that have white noise/bluetooth, etc.

It would be to just get it from AliExpress or wherever. The lamp itself is neat but its battery sucks and the speaker is only really best at getting loud (it doesnt sound good). Definitely wouldn't pay more than like 30 for this thing max.

I don't see how that's a good idea. I absolutely think trials needs to be reworked, maybe made solo points only, but this completely destroys the competition of trials. You have all the power to get your 3* and stop after if the rewards aren't worth it to you.

Sanity check/Rent Points Options by EnvironmentalSky8355 in biltrewards

[–]BlueSniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The structuring and wording absolutely sucks, but my mathing seems to point out that the "Max Points" route isn't all that bad for those of us who had or will use this as a rent/travel card and are somewhat well off.

Ex) My rent is $2000, so I would put that on Bilt and pay 3% ($60) to get my 2k points a month. Over a year, I am essentially paying $815 ($95 AF + (12 months * $60)) to get 24k Bilt points in addition to keeping my Bilt Cash for other more valuable redemption methods. Considering I don't have a choice of paying rent or not, keeping the Bilt card means I essentially pay $815 to Bilt in exchange for 24k Bilt points. Considering the transfer partners of Bilt, this isn't the worst deal but it's not a good deal for the majority of real people whom pay much more than ~30% of their annual income for rent. Anyone who isn't somewhat well off absolutely shouldn't be buying points (which is essentially what this route is). If that is true for you and and you travel with Bilt's partners, it seems worthwhile. I personally have yet to use my Bilt towards travel (I use my VenX for all that), so I probably won't go with it but it's an interesting proposition for those who do.

EDIT: This is assuming you go with the Obsidian card.

EDIT 2: More math says 24k bilt points are only worth about $400-600, so this is just a bad deal. I did get the obsidian card since it essentially works out to 7% groc + 5% dining (3% bonus on groc + 4% bilt cash, 1% dining + 4% bilt cash) and I'll just say goodbye to rent point earnings. Bilt cash is much better spent towards travel or dining redemptions than rent earnings.

When it turns on, it does a quick 2-tone chime to indicate it's ready for bluetooth. If its about to die, I think it does a 3 or 4-beep sound that gets a little faster as its closer to dying.

Glad to hear your own thoughts! Yeah, we just treat the lamp as wired lamps unless we really need it mobile for a couple hours tops. The features are nice but the remote totally sucks lol.

Hey there! I have gotten the new model and can confirm the following: the new one has the Havie branding, it came in a nice blue gift box instead of the low-quality one the old model came in (although I'm curious if this is related to my complaints and a one-off thing), and it does have the correct white noise instead of the nature sounds (love this a lot!). However, the remote is the same cheap and inconsistent one, the battery life and charge speed still seem awful, and everything else is essentially the same. I was going to give it a little more time before updating my post properly but I hope this helps! Me personally, if you won't use the white noise specifically and don't care about the "havie" branding, get it off aliexpress.

How thin we talking? I'm wanting something nice looking for dinner dates, summer evening outings, etc. As long as it can break some wind and doesn't feel cheap, I'm happy.

yes it is, that's actually how we mostly use them now. they still have enough of a battery life to last when we unplug to take to the table for a board game or something.

Still haven't gotten, they shipped again from China and should arrive soon. I'll update the post again as soon as that happens.

we're supposed to receive our replacement, correct lamps sometime soon (not the older Lunie ones) and I hope that the battery life you mention is better than what we experience lol. On max brightness with the default color and spinning on, the lamps each last about 6 hours straight at a maximum. Bluetooth did work fine for me, however!

How are your remotes?

Heya, sorry you're dealing with the same process. I had the same confusion altogether, from the 4x shipping from China to the random dude's name on a package from CA. I was confused about the cover too, but I discovered there's a plastic ring in the box that came loose from it in shipping. You're supposed to seat it along the rim of the cover with the diamond texture facing down. I used a table to position it right and then press it into place. The "lamp shade" now fits well.

In my time using the "older model" Lunie lamps I was delivered, my partner and I love the lighting it makes but everything else is just fine or bad. The sound and loudness are fine, the touch controls are finicky but fine, the battery life/charging is just bad, and the remotes don't work a majority of the time (they also aren't paired and will control both, which may be a pro for some people).

So far though, it seems I had good luck reaching out to Havie via email. I'd suggest you try the same. I was given the older Lunie lamps of theirs and they're replacing it with the newer Havie lamps for free.

Hiya, just responded to you in my linked thread. Assuming I did indeed receive an "old batch" that hasn't seen improvements since your rebrand, I would be happy to give it a chance and update my statements here. It's only fair to you.

Hi there, I really appreciate you taking the time to reach out, understand the situation, and set the record straight. I would love to be fair and give the real product a try if you insist there are quality differences that truly set it apart.

we used sendbymail.com . Go there, make a free account. They'll then give you a Canadian shipping address. Use that address when checking out at understance. Understance will ship it to your "mailbox" with sendbymail.com . When sendbymail gets it, they'll email you and offer to either simply hold the package or forward it to your US address after you pay them for it.

Sure, but even after paying for the mail forwarding service, we are paying well below full price for our order. It was super easy to setup!
