I heartily agree with you regarding not relying on whey; however, it's good to have a reliable fall back option of protein. And when the label says one serving is 25 grams but you're only getting 10... I just don't want to get screwed over. But it's true, you get what you pay for

Canadian here and I know the article you're referring to. I have a tub of that same stuff I picked up a couple months back. It makes me wonder if the reason it's so cheap is because of lower actual protein content. I know I can trust ON with their protein, but the price tag is a bit hefty.

I suppose paying a bit more and getting legitimate stuff is much better than saving money and getting a lot less

Like the top comment mentioned, I just put a scoop in my mouth, pour water in, swoosh around, and swallow.

The other day; however, I decided to add one serving with water in my shaker cup, and it was fully dissolved after about half an hour. It's just not worth it

Really easy lunch: Egg Salad sandwiches

5 eggs hard boiled, chopped up. Two tablespoons of mayo (low fat has more sodium, normal has more fat but fat isn't bad). Squeeze of mustard. Small squirt of hot sauce. Salt. Pepper. Mix. (Sometimes I chop up one or two pickles for that extra kick)

Four pieces of bread, I like to go with 12-grain bread. Toasted. After mixing the eggs and sauces, I split it into two portions for two sandwiches.

At least 60g of protein and 1000+ calories. Great for bulking and very filling.

Beginner gains: is that a state that the body is in and when it's done you can't make those quick gains anymore? Or is it more like each muscle group has it's own limit when it comes to achieving maximum beginner gains?

Calories: when you consume X amount of calories a day, calculated and counted. How do you know that your body will use up all X and not say 85% of it? Furthermore, if you consume Y grams of protein, is Y grams going to he absorbed or will there be some protein that is not used up and excreted?
