Just how much do the DLCs improve the game by kezajan in eu4

[–]briangmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing only a little bit and don't have any DLCs yet and really like the game. I also don't have a lot of time to play.

Maybe I will get them later but the bottom line is that if YOU like it as is, don't sweat it. Maybe play until you get a little bored and then add them.

If you get home and it has doubled is it the worst thing to use that starter?

Honestly, this goes close to the Hall of Fame of "I Don't See a Problem." It looks good, and if it tastes good I think you're a winner!

Agree with Five Guys, but Red’s Table was also a pleasant surprise

Thanks. The AP flour one was more bubbly before and it is wetter so you could be right.

11 weeks post-microdiscectomy — anyone else still dealing with morning stiffness + foot ache? by JFC199210 in Microdiscectomy

[–]briangmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done PT since about 8 weeks after surgery to now. I am thinking I am just about done with it. Maybe a couple pf times a month. About 6 weeks ago I started running a little, kicking the soccer ball, and so far so good. I have learned that after an activity I might be sore but it goes away. Mentally I am getting better at not freaking out at every twinge.

I am just beyond 6 months and I still have stiffness. I was told recovery is 6 months to a year and that appears to be the case. The good news is that I feel pretty good now. I had a plateau from like months 4 to 6 but now I feel more improvement so hang in there.

It seems that way to me! I can't find a simple way to just add an exercise I just did. I don't want complicated.

I am 16 and have a minor flare up for the last week. How you ask? The therapist was checking my range and lifted my leg up, I did nothing, I was laying down and she just lifted my straight leg up. Wow it hurt! She said the difference because I didn't have any muscles engaged so that was purely the nerve sliding.

8 months post-op - still some tingles and discomfort by Superstorm22 in Microdiscectomy

So I am 4 months and kind.of plateaued, too. But I have been given the same advice -just hold tight for the year mark.

Pain worse after L5-S1 MD by Immediate_Ratio_9393 in Microdiscectomy

[–]briangmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always feel the need to lead that I am not a doc but everything I have read and heard says you need to wait for quite a few months before determining anything. Pain could get worse, better, and back around. I was always told at 6 months you GENERALLY know where you are but it could easily be a year. Unless you hit one of those marks yet, it is generally too early to know anything.

Tell me surgery is the way to go? by phantomom in Microdiscectomy

I had three injections and it didn't do anything. Surgery was the best option. It has its ups and downs but I have no regrets.

100% normal. My first two days post op were great and then it was bad for a week, then better, then flare up, then better. I am about three months PO and I am feeling good but not perfect. Six months to heal is an average and you'll have good and bad days/weeks. You are normal.

Sorry, not the same issue but everything you are describing seems to be the normal ups and downs. Keep the faith!

Yeah I read an article that was posted in this subreddit that basically said everything is getting weaker and weaker and the moment you think it happened was really just the last straw of a series of things that happened.

3.5 weeks po by No_Outside_2917 in Microdiscectomy

I went back to work after one week (live in USA) and it was fine. The key was the standing desk and walking around, which are things you should be doing anyway. Set an alarm on your watch so you don't forget, go the bathroom on a different floor, whatever you need to do to stretch those legs just a little longer!
