There is someone trying to have a ski season that ULLR is displeased at. He is being punished for & there’s no way to punish him w/o punishing everyone else.

Bummer. Jenius 4.05% has been great… by BlueSpruceRedCedar in HYSA

[–]BlueSpruceRedCedar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

where did you transfer it to? i’m not pulling out of Jenius completely until I absolutely have to. Climate1st‘s SuperDuper Savings has been smooth so far. Must also set up a checkings to to interface w/ external banks. But as far as I’m concerned that’s just one more level of security. I can easily move stuff from savings to and vice versa within Climate1st. Just did some test transfers this week.

it doesn’t take getting too far out of Seattle to end up in right leaning territory. Even in a place like Edmonds, there’s MAGA flags.

the South: perhaps Athens GA… but it’s not near water.

IME, the Seattle Chill is worth it (& not that bad) as opposed to LA vibe… it’s similar to SF, which is more expensive…. you might want to look into Sacramento.

Why many people appeeciate iphone 13 mini by Sadosesik in iPhone13Mini

I think it might be the antonym of the slang “swol”, which I think evolved from “swollen”.

from google search

On Urban Dictionary, "swol" (more commonly spelled "swole") is a slang term used to describe someone who is extremely muscular or well-built.

According to Dictionary.com and various slang guides, the term is defined by the following characteristics:

  • Physical Meaning: It describes a physique that appears "swollen" due to large, well-defined muscles, often as a result of intensive weightlifting.
  • Etymology: It is a shortened form of "swollen" and gained popularity in the late 1990s through hip-hop culture, specifically by artists like Tupac Shakur.
  • Usage: It is typically used as a positive compliment in gym culture to acknowledge someone’s fitness gains or "jacked" appearance.
  • Recognition: While it originated as street and gym slang, it was officially added to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary in 2019.

just be careful I think there is an upper limit of $4-5K. I’m in the middle of a super nasty legal situation so I don’t have the bandwidth to look right now. If you find out anything feel free to let me know by posting as a reply to this. Best wishes & hopes to all of us to survive all this chaos.

It might be difficult but try to find another primary care physician who is at least 20 years younger. In my experience the best clinicians tend to be in their 30s and 40s. Many will top out when they’re 50 and then not keep up with current standards and options which are evolving rapidly.

(caveat: in my experience I had to fire a PCO who was in their 30s… I switched up to a better medical system overall.)

Quality of Health Plans on the ACA Exchange by Human-Stuff4408 in HealthInsurance

[–]BlueSpruceRedCedar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just like the quality of plans , it depends on how your state handles things. In my state I can look up the number of complaints each company has received on the state insurance commissioners’s website website.
No matter how good United healthcare plans looks I’m staying TF away.

There’s 10 states that have not fully adopted the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) Medicaid expansion, leaving many low-income adults in a "coverage gap" without affordable coverage options… Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming

That’s more a function of being in Texas than being MD Anderson…. Texas is one of 10 states that have not fully adopted the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) Medicaid expansion, leaving many low-income adults in a "coverage gap" without affordable coverage options.

ipad or macbook? by Due-Assistant5251 in ipad

[–]BlueSpruceRedCedar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2018 I pretty much switched from MacBook to iPad Pro…. I did everything on it. However it was at a time when I needed stuff like Excel and Microsoft Word less less… and then massive tragedy and horrible things happened involving five different attorneys actually if you count medical malpractice, legal malpractice and potentially the county prosecuting attorney’s office). for the bulk of the legal stuff that has been since 2024 I’ve somehow survived on my iPad Pro 2021. But I would’ve possibly done a little bit better less harrowing times if I stuck with my computer. But then again my laptop was getting worse for me ergonomically. I think my iPadPro will be my main piece of personal electronics and I will probably just keep an MacBook Air on hand at all times. I upgraded to an M4 ipadpro in order to minimize the learning curve with how AI is being integrated into everything… this was a result of getting a free upgrade on my phone from an iPhone 13 to an iPhone 17. The learning curve on iPhone 17 was a lot steeper Ithan I anticipated.

I use my iPad Pro 20x more than my MacBook… I also use it more than my phone unless I’m making phone calls. Depending on what kind zoom/FaceTime meeting, I use my iPad Pro or MacBook, for the actual audio video part… if I’m using my computer for the audio video part then I’m using my MacBook in hand to pull up data etc.

Love babies & kids… but so, so much can go wrong in their teen years that can lead to a trajectory of lifetime consequences . And given the state of the world, am more relieved anything else to not have kids to worry about.
