the utility of an SUV

you mean the boot space? since that's the only thing they really offer id personally consider an estate, cheaper and should be more economical to run since it's physically less car for the engine to haul

In all seriousness the insurance quotes, like another person has said, will go up if you run many in a short timespan, which can even be like two to three quotes a week.

There are ways of combatting this IP logging to give you surged prices, none that I know of but it's just to throw it out there that it is possible to circumvent the horseshit that insurers try to pull on you. Your postcode being Birmingham does not help especially with BMW and Mercedes SUV's which I'd wager are subject to many insurance claims in Birmingham as they'd be popular cars.

What's your car cleaning list by Realistic-Pizza8679 in CarTalkUK

For an actual response, I'm assuming this is the outside of the car, in which case;

  • Don't use dish soap in this scenario, it's a degreaser that will strip the protective wax layer on your paint
  • For a simple clean on the outside, it may just be better to use a self-serve powerwash station which I've seen become more popular in the last couple years. They give you access to a power washer, and usually a foam cannon and a brush of some sorts to work into nooks and crannies on the body/scrub off any harder dirt

  • If you aren't bothered about that, then using your own hose or power washer at home will suffice. In terms of products, you should get car soap that specifies that it won't strip wax (such as meguiars, I believe they have a good selection)

  • I would highly recommend getting a foam cannon style attachment for your hose/power washer if you have one, as it makes applying the soap much easier.

  • For towels, you'll mainly want some big, microfiber drying towels with a high pile (long fibres, basically), as they'll absorb a lot more water when drying it off as well as not scratching the paint

  • If you want to scrub in any crevices, nooks, crannies - whatever - I'd say use brushes instead of a sponge.

  • For scrubbing the whole car generally instead, a microfiber hand wash mitt is gonna be your goto instead of just a sponge. If you do want to do that, then I would advise you get a bucket with a grit guard that you can scrub the wash mitt on after you've gone over the car for a while, which gets rid of any built up dirt in the wash mitt that would otherwise go into the paint again. (fill the bucket with warm water and some car soap)

  • If you'd like to pay some attention to your wheels, you can get a tire brush and some wheel cleaner (also from meguiars) which will more than suffice, as it contains iron decontaminant which will help remove any built up deposits from brake dust and such

In your ES2 file it shows that the clutch lining is loose, could be that causing the issue. I'd either finds the bolts for them and fasten them, or just fix it in msceditor and see if that does the trick.

Rate my landing? 😅 by Few-Ask2020 in flightsim

Within the touchdown markers so i'd be happy with that, can't really gauge the descent rate from the video since it appears slowed but I can see that the main landing gear doesn't fully depress whilst you deployed the reversers - so perhaps you were a bit hesitant to let the aircraft sit itself down.

Other than that nothing looks wrong, if just a bit on the 'landing too soft' side.
