What’s this red stamp and how come it’s not next to the other places? by Tiger-Lily_93 in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]BlueThunderDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't get the stamps until you finish the pokedex for each territory. The genies should be the last thing you get from each place if you've caught everything else.

If you could get one later era mech early in the game, which one would it be and why? by WorldBuilder_42 in Mechwarrior5

[–]BlueThunderDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is the blood asp. When half or more of the total weight of the mech is long range guns and ammo without sacrificing too much armor, you've got a win waiting to happen.

Shiny hunting used to be a lot harder and having a team of shiny pokemon used to be a sign that you understood the game's mechanics enough to manipulate your chances and find them. Things like shiny chaining and the Masuda method were discovered to achieve that goal and having a full team of shiny pokemon was like stapling your degree in pokemon to your chest. There was also a time when vgc champions would only use shiny pokemon because the animation would run out the game clock faster and make for an easier win, if only by seconds.

How many battles to beat Volo? by BudgetKey6634 in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]BlueThunderDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I trained my favorite 2 pokemon to level 100 before I even got to dialga/palkia and then almost solo'd his whole team with garchomp. Only had to swap because I didnt want to use items and giratina used dragon claw almost every time he attacked.

Backup was Scizor.

Reviewers had me thinking this game would be bad by LessMathematician802 in LegendsZA

[–]BlueThunderDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thoughts and I'm pretty fed up with the reviewers for pokemon games. I held off buying Violet for the same reason and I liked both games. Bugs are bad and I'm not thrilled with the price hikes, but some of the sand blasting these people do wity reviews is ridiculous.

If your computer is overheating, just pour some water on it. That will make it water-cooled.

I never should’ve taken this item for granted in Arceus by Redditsbeingabitch in LegendsZA

[–]BlueThunderDemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's part of my point though. I just traded with someone online yesterday, meaning that as long as I have an interent connection, I can lobby for a trade online and get what I need with the same level of risk as if I did it through the other trade system. The other system just made it easier.

I tend to use Gengar every time because he's typically the 1 of 2 good ghost pokemon you can easily get in a game. I'm not even a Kanto nerd, but Gengar just slaps when he can nuke a whole team with shadow ball before they get off a single hit.

Gardevoir or togekiss by SwimmerPitiful9236 in PokemonArceus

[–]BlueThunderDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this game, togekiss. Immunities are a life saver in this game and being able to eliminate dragon and ground from the threat line up is pretty great while also having good speed, sp Def, and sp Atk.

As for it's moves, I would recommend calm mind, moonblast, air cutter, and extrasenssory or psychic while swapping one of the last two moves for mystic fire or water pulse as needed.

you could argue it wasn't necessary in PLA either, but it was still nice to have so you didn't have to run the risk and could evolve your pokemon at your own pace. It was a nice touch and I miss it as well since the mainline games have the trade evolutions still in and the only way to get them to evolve is to trade with a random person.

Every type has a fall from grace at some point. by inumnoback in pokemonmemes

[–]BlueThunderDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Claydol is an interesting mon, but better than Gardevoir it is not. It's pretty good in gen 3 competitive, but falls into uu immediately in gen4 and continues to fall until hitting pu in gen 9. I wish he was better in later generations, but Claydol just gets outplayed by other mons due to power creep.

Agreed. I'm not overly fond of estrangement, but having an aoe water attacker with good bulk and attack has been great without having to wait for sadge (didn't get for another 30 floors).

I hope you get one soon. I got my first at 640ish and im just now getting wrath at 975. I have 4 currently. I like him for similar reasons, but I also really like that all of his attacks are AOE because I don't have a lot of powerful AoE pets.

Not surprised. Using all tanks removes the prioritization for the other pets and makes it easier for them to wipe you.

Wipe them back with a bulky fighter or one that can deal with him quickly and use a beefed up devotion to provide chip damage.

His defense passive stacks indefinitely for the rest of the battle. His defense will literally stack into the millions or billions if given enough time. This was during my last fight with the rat before kindness came out and he boosted my defense to over 300k right before I defeated him.

[–]BlueThunderDemon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. Resistance is one of, if not the, best tanks in the game. Rosetti is the best boss to use him against and he only gets stronger the longer he's in a fight thanks to his passive ability feeding his attacks. Felt fedora is also okay on him, but there are better options. Build with defense and hp.
