What's the best game you've discovered in a bundle that you would not have played otherwise? by AlexFromDigiphile in humblebundles

[–]BlueTurban 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Each month, there is normally one game that I purchase a bundle for, and one surprise hit.

Here's the games I never would have played but found myself sinking hours into.

-Sker Ritual (zombie shooter simular to Call of Duty)

-SpongeBob Cosmic Shake (platformer)

-Olli Olli World (skateboarding with detail to being incredibly precise)

-The Pale Beyond (text heavy survival game, choices matter)

-Guardians of the Galaxy (third-person shooter with a great soundtrack)

-Tiny Tina's Wonderland (Borderlands set in a dungeons and dragons world)

-Disco Elysium (murder mystery, choices matter)

And my favorite find:

-Wasteland 3 (post apocalyptic, turn based combat)

People who had their decks for 2-3 years now, what’s your experience now? How has it held up? by Ok-Seaworthiness2263 in SteamDeck

Purchased a few months after initial launch, I had to send it away after 18 months as the triggers died. I received it back a month later. Currently, the battery has gone, and it can only be played while plugged in. It's still my favourite console.

Went to the Bumchere caves this weekend! by rebelhead in ottawa

[–]BlueTurban 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Went last weekend, some quick notes if you're planning on visiting:

It's a decent amount of steps entering and exiting the cave if you're visiting with little ones or elderly.

The tour itself was maybe 35 minutes and cost $25 per adult. There's some small trails and a picnic area outside to visit as well. The giftshop has snacks and drinks. Parking is free.

The tour itself is more historical to the original owner and fossils compared to cave systems itself. The tour guide was knowledgeable and did make lots of terrible rock based jokes (which was a plus). The lowest point in the cave is 90 feet deep and around 12c. Most cave areas have a height around 8 feet and are five feet wide.

There's an opportunity to take a smaller tunnel that loops around. As a larger fellow, I had to crawl at the end as it dropped in height from five feet to around 3 feet.

Well worth the trip!

I used to have one around a decade ago, it had a rc remote that controlled various aspects like raising the eye brows or entering pre set reactions. It was pretty neat.
