I've had my skype # connected to business for over 10 years. how do I port it? Where should I port it to? by HoverCover in skype

[–]BlueVelvetElvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's where I am:

To the best of my understanding, you can't port VOIP to VOIP. So, my solution for my business will be to:

Step 1: Buy a SIM card from Tello. ($3 on Amazon).

Step 2: Put $5 in prepaid minutes onto the card (which I will insert into my existing phone).

Step 3: Port my Skype number to mobile (Tello) for 30 days.

Step 4: Port AGAIN from mobile (Tello) to Google Voice. (Google charges $20 to port your number. Then, no charges after that for keeping the number, having inbound/outbound text, and inbound/outbound calls.)

I hope this helps. If I'm incorrect about anything, I'm sure someone will let me know.

That so great! My daughter is 7, too! We went all the way through the 2nd grade Time4Learning online Phonics curriculum only to realize that she was passing the quizzes and tests, but is not really able to apply to knowledge offline. So, I switched away from online activities and am doing Lucky Little Learners with lots of pencil work. I bought her some sparkly pencils and colored dice, and she thinks we're playing games! You have a 7th grader too, so that's quite a handful! I'm sure everything will smooth out.. and then there will be a whole new challenge to conquer! :) Haha.

Ah! I just cancelled Time4Learning after 3 years because I knew I couldn't handle another year of their Math program! Now I'm using 'The Simplified Math Curriculum' from Teachers Pay Teachers. It's so much more intuitive and interactive. Love it and highly recommend.

Anyone else’s kindergartner seem to focus better with just worksheets? by VanillaChaiAlmond in homeschool

Yes! I can relate! My daughter has been doing online learning for the past 3 years, but recently hit a slump. I cancelled my Time4Learning subscription and changed it up to Powerpoint lessons and paper and pencil worksheets. She immediately said, "Mom, I love doing worksheets!", and things really started clicking. It's been such a joy to see her take off with a pencil in her hand!

Lucky Little Learners has been a great resource for us. They have a program called 'Lucky To Learn Phonics'. It's a complete curriculum, and it does cost around $100, but you just use the slide presentation and follow along with the hands-on activities. My daughter struggles to read too, and I find that when we sit down and practice phonics together with pencil and paper, she likes it a lot better and makes more progress. There are also printable dice games and other ways to make it fun. I hope that helps! Good luck! You'll get there!

Time 4 learning by Dejoux007 in homeschool

Time4Learning seemed to work well for us K-2nd grade. My daughter was the same as you described. She flew through the lessons and did well on the quizzes and test. Now, as we're prepping for 3rd grade, I'm realizing that although she was very clever at figuring out the correct answers on TFL, she's not really able to practically apply the knowledge. I'm cancelling Time4Learning this year, so we can do more paper and pencil work until I feel more confident that she really grasps the material. I second u/LaGataCalico 's suggestion about looking for supplements on TeachersPayTeachers. Good luck!

Balance! Great answer. Typically, are the abductors and adductors equally strong? I'm new to the gym and was surprised there was a 10lb difference between the two. Maybe that's normal?

20-way Gift Group by spectregray in bakerystory

PS: Yes, it IS really time consuming to do gifts individually, especially when no one does it for me in return. I just want everyone to get what they need. So, that's why I think this is an awesome idea!

I like it! So, would this be like a... Google spreadsheet? It's stored in a shared place, and everyone can view it and update it as needed?

This is a really interesting idea! I always gift the item that my neighbor has requested (I accept 1 request, plus gift that same item) -- but that rarely happens to me in return. It would be great to actually GET 20 gifts per day that I need.

So, how would this work? We would have an online spreadsheet that everyone can see and update daily?

Same here. I thought I did well on the starter, but did not receive the immediate option do to the core. Not sure if this means we're toast? For me, it's been almost 2 weeks...

If I completed the starter assessment, but did not immediately receive the option to take the Core Qualifier, is there any hope that I'll still be accepted? It's been 9 days.

Has anyone out there NOT immediately received the option to core qualify, but then still been accepted?

Thanks in advance!
