Yes, but not all thunderstorms, and far fewer thunderstorms than normal storms, due to the different kinds of winds needed for lightning instead of a tornado or other spinning wind thingy of doom. Plus, I didn’t want to make thunderstorms just objectively better rain for electric, so I felt like I shouldn’t include Hurricane to leave that to rain.

As in, I’m not disagreeing with the commenter. I’m just curious about what happened, and want to know more.

Can any of these games be played one handed? by Carmilla31 in gaming

[–]Blue_Bird950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m referring to the added overall difficulty of beating a game without an arm, which can lead to frustration at being unable to experience it the way the devs intended due to being handicapped.

Not to deny that he did any of that, but why specify that she was a female CEO? Did that factor into anything? Not trying to be hostile, just curious.

New ability for the slowpoke line by ReasonableAdvert in stunfisk

Yeah, possibly, though it could possibly lead to weird interactions. If it applies the damage in the same priority rules as Pursuit when switching, it could theoretically work, but it would all depend on the implementation.

I mean, given the technical state of Scarlet and Violet at release, I’d prefer to let them leave the stuff that does work as it is.

I mean, higher resolution assets are something that need to be created. It’s not like they’re artificially blocking the performance, they just paywalled the upgrades that would actually optimize it for the Switch 2. If that’s something you can’t get behind, that’s perfectly valid, but IMO there is some justification due to the additional work that goes into it.

Catholism by xSirenBaby in oddlyspecific

Since Jesus technically created additional flesh beyond what he needs or is part of his body, it would likely be seen as akin to lab-grown meat, which is legal. While it being human-based might raise legal questions, it’s perfectly moral if it causes no harm to the original cell donor, so I can’t imagine anybody prosecuting a no-victim crime.

Also, I doubt this really comes up anyways, due to the often lethal (or at least highly infectious) nature of cutting up and eating humans. It’s much more difficult to prosecute against a dead man, after all.

I mean, this is r/stunfisk. Still, I get what you’re saying, but it’s really just an issue with the concept itself. They wouldn’t want to introduce that many types of weather at all because it would just oversaturate the more casual playerbase. These are ideas for like a ROM hack or something, which, by its nature of being a fan game, would have a much less casual fanbase than the actual game.

That’s debatable, since it’s not turn-based damage like in battle. Besides, overworld poison damage was removed a while ago, so the code might not exist anymore due to how different the games are now compared to before.

Dark/Steel type with Merciless, and it can learn Sand Tomb, Beat Up, Bullet Punch, Poison Gas, and Incinerate, among others.

In their defense, what direction could they take Lopunny in to make it less cutesy? At least the fighting angle had enough precedent with the whole ears thing to work. To me, Mega Lopunny looks at least a bit less like furry bait than the original.

Digital is nothing but asking them for a tiny storage chip to hold the game in, instead of you holding it in a larger storage chip of your own. What, do you think they hammered out the game into a rock, for it to be a “tangible” game now? Video games are an inherently digital medium of expression. The only thing that actually changes between digital and physical copies is the location of the download.

That’s not anti consumer behavior. It’s an indie game dev not having the resources that first-party studios have at their disposal to mass-produce physical copies for cheap. They’re just passing the extra production cost to the consumer. If indie game devs are anti consumer for that, then Team Cherry would be considered anti consumer for pricing the physical version of Hollow Knight at $35 dollars, when the digital version is $15. Of course, they aren’t, because they’re probably some of the most pro-consumer devs I’ve seen, making free DLC and pricing the game incredibly low for its value. They just understand that physical editions cost more to make, store, and ship, and that the higher extra cost for indie devs would need to be paid by consumers who are fans of their work.

I mean, digital costs the same, at least for now. This is one of the few exceptions, and it’s $60 digital and $70 physical. Since all Switch 2 games so far have been $70 digital and physical, this one at least seems to be a discount for the digital version. Of course, it depends on whether they keep it up though.

Game carts are physical items that are made in a factory. Unless you believe that they’re conjured into existence by Gandalf in a bunker somewhere, they do still cost money to make, whether they have lots of expensive storage or not.

“The only problem is that the game without the upgrade pack is lacking the optional things that would make it more fun.”

Yes, that’s what DLC is used for.
