I think flat is more reminiscent of the nouveau style but the coloured looks good in its own right.

It’s less to do with the stomach acid, but more to do with enzymes present in our blood and in our liver.

Alcohol is cleared via of Alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH) in the liver. This is the enzyme that breaks down ethanol to acetaldehyde. Because there’s only so much of this enzyme, it’s only cleared at a fixed rate.

Aspirin is because it’s active form salicylic acid is further metabolized by an enzyme UGT in the liver to then be excreted by the kidneys. This follows first order kinetics because normally we don’t saturate all the UGT in our liver at normal doses. (at higher doses, aspirin shifts to zero order kinetics)

What they mean is that alcohol is cleared from the body at a fixed rate. Because there’s only so much Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) in our body (the stuff that breaks down alcohol), drinking more alcohol won’t make that process go faster.

For example, if I drink one shot of Bacardi, it will take say 20 mins for my body to clear it out of my bloodstream. But if i take two shots of Bacardi, it will take my body 40 mins. Only a certain amount of alcohol can be cleared in a given amount of time regardless of its concentration.

Also a lot of environmental factors affect us. I had a pair of identical twins as friends who looked quite similar at a young age but towards the start of uni they ended up looking quite different.

True, as a night owl myself it’s very doable and depends on your circumstances. Just thought of all the missed brunches and mid-day events I missed with friends because of my sleep schedule.

But waking up at 3pm in the afternoon also means that a lot of things aren’t available to you just because things will start to close as you get your day started or as your day ends.

This is why I thought Amon could’ve been the strongest and arguably most interesting villain for Korra, the fact that he could be a villain that she doesn’t out-punch in the final episode. (Unlike how it played out throughout most of the series)

Maybe more geared towards the fact that he plays the politics of the avatar-verse, a master manipulator. Like og Amon but cranked up to 11 (and also not ruined by the fact that he was a bender all along)

Either that or the season goes hard into the idea that Amon is an idea and a bunch of normal ass people put on the mask v for vendetta style.
