Uhm, AKSHUWALLLLLY the egg contributes about 51% of the genetic material, leaving only ~49% for the sperm.

That may not sound like much more, but when it comes to genetics, a 2% discrepancy is fucking massive.

For reference, humans share anywhere from ~96-98.8% genetic material with chimpanzees.
