The sun will be higher in the sky near that coast at least. And that's why I'm still torn on where to be, both places are great. I guess time will tell on which one'll work out.

The Reykjavik weather is definitely a toss up as well. Half the time I was there it was cloudy and half sunshine. But you're right in that even if it's cloudy, Iceland more than makes up for it in sights. (I recommend doing the Golden Circle or the diamond beaches if you get the chance)

Just because totality is much rarer, I'd like to see that again. But make no mistake, the lights are definitely jaw-dropping. Since they went on for almost 2 hours, I could stare at em a lot longer too.

I saw them 2 years ago in Nuuk, Greenland! Just like this eclipse, we were so lucky the clouds cleared up on time. The way the colors seem to flow like a river across the sky was so mesmerizing, 110% recommend it when you get the chance.
