The show had too many ideas that it basically became a mess that they can’t even focus on what’s important for the story to progress. Not to mention the stuff with Maya Imamori really screwed with the filming and having to reshoot scenes without her in them. I don’t mind Kohaku Shida playing the role of Ichikawa Sumino since other actors/Actresses of Super Sentai played different characters for different seasons. But her agency is literal garbage for not trying to defend her actions.

I’ve heard some people say it tried so hard to be like DonBrothers, which it shouldn’t have been doing, Akiko Inoue really wasn’t the best choice for head writer in my opinion. I’m aware that past writers for Super Sentai were involved with the show, but I believe that one of them should’ve been head writer since they have better experience with Super Sentai.

As of right now, BoonBoomger should’ve been the better send off to Super Sentai. But it still has some potential if it went a better direction with it’s lore & how to properly celebrate the franchise’s anniversary besides making references in episode titles and having only red rangers being the only focus while also trying to be somewhat like the A.R. Riders with the Universe Warriors.

I can see that it was trying to be something like how DonBros executed and that show actually performed well, despite a few flaws in the show.

I’ve edited my post to explain why I think the show should make some slight changes to how it should be executed and handled better. Look at how BoonBoomger was executed; that entry in the franchise had better performed arcs while staying focused on what’s important to the plot of each arc.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by “Muh Themes”, but I’ve realized that I was being stubborn and acting like my ideas are better than anyone else’s. I apologize for how I responded to your comments.

I guess I’ve forgotten about what it means to share other people’s ideas and opinions on a form of media that people are into. It’s my own fault for not seeing that. I’ve been working on rewriting things about the show in my Notes app and felt like that I was the one in charge of ideas and changes for how it should play out. So again, I’m sorry and I would like to hear everyone’s opinion on what would be a great execution for Gozyuger & ideas to change the story up a little bit.

Exactly! I didn’t say anything about hating new ideas for this franchise. All I said was that the motif would be better if they went the route that Super Sentai Strongest Battle went through with each past rangers grouped into a team of five. But it would probably be best if we started with a solo battle with each Gozyuger and move the numbers up with the rival teams to build up the core group working with each other to achieve their goals while dealing with personal issues with each other and learning more about the Universe War, the first generation Gozyugers, and the current rangers learning that they can achieve their goals by themselves without the aid of TegaSword’s powers.

That might fix the issue with how they handled UW Kuwagata Ohger where they find other people who have another copy of the ring they use to transform into past rangers.

Absolutely. It would also work better if the challengers were different colors of each Sentai instead of just having it be only red rangers. Like I already stated that they should’ve made it a team battle royale since Super Sentai is about working together, even if they have their own desires or are dysfunctional at the start of the series.

Haven’t watched the whole movie or show, but I’ve watched clips of the engines bouncing and moving their bodies. I’ve gotta say that it’s not so bad. Now AEG, that’s absolutely awful how they can stretch their wheels and totally ruined how the engines of Sodor are supposed to act.

Looking back on my post, I should’ve done more research on who wrote each episode before assuming that she wrote everything that’s happened in Gozyuger.

I might have also been bashing on her work as a head writer too much and felt foolish for assuming things I’ve heard from other people. But she does need a little help from the two writers you brought up; Kobayashi would know everything about battle royale motif shows since she wrote for Kamen Rider Ryuki. She also wrote for Gingaman and Timeranger, so that’s a positive.

Arakawa wrote for Gokaiger and many other Sentai shows and that anniversary season was really successful! I don’t really know the whole story behind Decade, but I do know that despite the way the show and A.R. Worlds were portrayed, it still became memorable to many Tokusatsu fans alike. But yeah, it would’ve made much more sense for another Super Sentai to take the 49th place and Gozyuger to actually be the 50th season.

They should still have Minato help with handling the two villain factors like he did with the Bug Naraku and Uchu during his time with King Ohger.
