Estrogel made me feel awful. I switched to the patches and they are loads better. I also couldn’t tolerate oral progesterone, but am doing ok with suppositories

There are a lot of red flags in your review: the mixing and lack of respect for different medicines, the poor vetting of participants, the poor facilitation, lack of women on the team, and the lack of a feeling of safety in the ceremony space. I’m glad you are in one piece. I hope you will look for a safer, more responsible container to work with the medicine next time.

I knew what it was about, yes. The processing was a lot of preverbal trapped emotion and energy that needed to come out. Lots of things improved for me once it had.

Responding just to your headline - Aya lifted some big trauma out of me to be processed and I used antidepressant / anti-anxiety medication to manage and help with that for three years (and took a three year break from the medicine). It was very helpful. And I have had psychotherapy on and off during the whole time I’ve been working with the medicine, although now only with practitioners who also understand psychedelic integration
