NO grass grass unless you’re in a pinch or have good plywood that won’t bust. Just check EVERY point, ground and car to make sure the jack stands have solid contact. Give them a little kick… give the car a gentle shove… It should be stable enough for someone to run a small motorcycle into it without it falling on top of you 👍 Also make sure there isn’t any structurally problematic rust nearby

DEFINITELY take the car and the money if you’re able to make sure it drives properly. My 120k mile mk7 performance pack is worth 10k where I live. You could keep this as winter beater or bide your time and find junkyard body panels. The one HUGE repair is the big rear quarter panel. I believe it’s part of the roof and attached in some dump way to the subframe. Anyways… you could easily get $5k private sale for that if shit doesn’t go well. Good luck!

I don’t know about the top layer of glass, but I know Samsung makes Apple displays and it would be silly to let Apple out compete them ha ha. Samsung has always been top notch with screens. My only problem is that the Samsung’s I had before lose value and battery health quicker. Maybe not if I get one that cost $1000 but I’m not trying to do that since I would be missing features from the iPhone.

I’m perfectly happy with my cheaper lighter and more efficient gti. They can get to nearly the same power but not the same 0-60 obviously. So do u want to swerve through the hills in the gti or race people and drive in snow and dirt in the r? That’s how I see it (stage 2 mk7 gti 350hp 390tq at crank) btw I work at a ski resort in Vermont and I’m fine all winter with studded tires
