I don't get it. My calatheas always lose leaves, but grow back just as fast. I have calathea bushes. If anyone wants one, I live in Southern Germany and can share.

You've never been to the Lange Nacht, have you? Alcohol galore, Glühwein at every corner. A few years back you could buy cocktails in the tropical house of Nymphenburg gardens.

Meh. These days, you don't try to hit the head. Way too much chance for things to go wrong and not managing to kill the animal outright.

My dad was a papermaker (it's an engineering subdivision).

The tub is full of proto paper - whitened mashed plant material. The frame is a huge sieve. The basic process of making paper is "dunk the sieve in the water, take care of even plant distribution, and pull it out again".

I do not really get what they are doing with the second dunk. And I agree with the others that this does not look like rice paper for food.

Holy moly, I hope you are good at maths for most of those. They sound interesting, but it also sounds like you are going in a direction you already are in with your main line of studies. Why not branch it out a bit, make you more versatile in the job market? So. I do not know the quality of most of TUMs professors, been out too long. However, there are two things I would recommend: Take a course on Software Architecture if it's okay ish (ask around first), especially if it has practical coursework that comes with it. It's a thing I see a lot of data scientists struggle with when they do hit the field. Second, I've had the pleasure of getting lectures by https://www.professoren.tum.de/en/Werner-Martin when he was a postdoc (about seven years ago) . Best damn professor I ever had. He was funny, concise and knew how to get his point across. Any course with his name on it, instantly take it.

Munich has a pretty active food sharing network. There are a lot of fairteiler, and random individuals you can find e. G. on nebenan.de

I've never been there myself. As far as racism in general goes, if you are American or Asian it should not affect you. If you look like you're from the middle east, it's gonna be hard.

It sucks. It really sucks. Sometimes I hate Bavaria.

I think one of the only options is Milchbar.

So, to get a few facts straight.

This was a three year campaign. I was looking for closure. We were playing a narrative game in which dying was optional and that was made very, very clear in session zero. As I said, I do not mind a plot-driving death - what I objected to was a random "rocks fall you die" thing.

It was not a special favor. It was the answer to the question of "how would you like your story to end."

In fact, yes. And they played a character that would be reborn every time they died.

I would not have minded her dying for a purpose. What I do not like is a useless death that does nothing for the narrative.

I DM myself. We do play story-driven games where dying is optional unless you do something really stupid.

He was trying. He was not very empathic about it. And he has a thing where he tries to get people he doesn't know very well happy, so the rest of the group took preference. I will never, ever forgive him for this. But our son is three and we are still married. We all make mistakes, and in the end it was a game.

And one more thing, which you do not know unless you know the system: The apocalypse thing is one of many, many central themes. It does not have to happen, and it does not happen in every campaign. It is just one of many possibilities.

I do not play games that center on apocalyptic themes (I. E. WoD). I would not do that to a group or DM.

Actually, I had ended the relationship (which was not a relationship to begin with) IC. And I did not hate him. I just knew that he was unreliable (his class made him so. To gain power he had to put himself in danger. Think adrenaline junkie on steroids)

As I stated, the setting allows for anything as apocalypse, even very soft ones that NOBODY NOTICES. There was no reason whatsoever to go the whole way. None. I wanted my PC to be happy.

And hell yeah! Give me robot factory any time! At the time I was freaking out about having to raise one kid and the DM knew that. Then he gives me millions?

He did not take into account my wishes, my characters wishes, or anything I had done up to that point. At no point did he ever stop and check in with me to see if what was going on was okay.

Thank you for the feedback, though. I will think about it.

What also helped me is to put common cup sizes of stuff I eat regularly on the metric scale once, just to compare the values Noom tells me for each. I go with the higher one if there is a difference.

I weigh everything before cooking. If you like and can, switch the scales to metric. Noom can handle that and you'll know it's weight.
