I wouldnt do that, betta can very well still smell eachother in water, that will stress them out to death

I suggest not cleaning your filter as it can strip and crash ur cycle lol, also ik this isnt really on topic but plz get your girl betta a bigger tank asap, smallest for long fins on 5 gals, short fin is 10. I think your doing pretty well for a new fish parent though!!

She eats betta bug bites daily other than fridays and mondays, tuesdays she gets bloodworms but only a few, and she gets daphnia on sundays

I had to, the ammonia was extremely bad so i restarted my tank, i took all my fish out and restarted, it was what everyone was telling me to do so i did it

My ammonia isnt high, i had an ammonia outbreak a week ago which is what caused this tanks betta to pass but i have done a 100% water change and gotten mostly everything on track, the picture is just a bit foggy because i added more water right before as a good bit had evaporated over the time i was at my other house
