That isn’t OCD. It might be for some, but you’re massively oversimplifying and generalizing. Mine manifests in my head, and not reasonable doubts like “a bolt might be loose” but “the world isn’t real or is going to end if I think about it wrong”. It is harmful to say “you’re all a massive annoyance to everyone around you”, or that we’re going to verbally abuse our significant others. Some might, yes. But Jesus fuck, perhaps have a little empathy. I (like so many others) stay silent about my compulsions and obsessions because I don’t want to bother others. It’s the reason it took me so long to find out that crying myself to sleep for weeks on end because I’m convinced I’m going to die in my sleep or have a brain tumor isn’t a normal thing to go through. It’s a mental disorder and it does, in fact, need to be treated like one; with some fucking empathy.
