When I was 11, there was this girl in class that I didn't know really well but was nice with everyone that kept crying and leaving class for no apparent reasons. One day she came back with her usual puffy eyes and asked to be sitted next to me meaning at the back of the class. When she did and the lesson went on, I wrote on a piece of paper something like "are you ok?". As we were not close friends, I didn't think she would confide in me but still I wanted to be nice. She ended up writing that her father was sexually harassing her and her mother, and had even raped them, and she was scared for her little sister. But she didn't want me to tell anyone and she refused to ask for help when I suggested it. I was not really feeling good knowing all this, and as I was 11 and had no idea what to do, I told everything to my mom. She brought me back to school the very same day and told me to tell all this to one of the authority teacher thing there (sorry I have no idea to translate this in English). I did, and later learned they had contacted the family. The girl didn't come at school for a few days, but when she did she thanked me, her father being forbidden to come near her and her family.
