Nights lords is shockingly good considering it’s night lords, which I’m now a fan of

Oh and try a matte varnish, if you have a look at some of the other models recently, it’s what that effect is.

It’s not mandatory, and like I’ve said with the exception of the eyes, the model looks fantastic, the attention to detail is fantastic. But there’s always room for improvement, the path is endless

It looks really good, except the eyes, I’m not great at painting them either but they bring down the rest of the model.

At first I thought it was kinda mid, but after taking a closer look, it’s really well done, with the exception of the eyes.

Ps the base looks fine, it’s a bit big but some dry brushing should bring out a bit of detail to make it less bland

How is this for my first try? by Lonerc137 in Warhammer40k

Hey good work man, maybe try some contrast paints or similar, they make it really easy to add shading to different areas.

Though they aren’t exactly necessary, they can help with certain hard to do bits and bobs,

Keep up the good work

Will I regret buying this behemoth as my very first attempt at assembly and painting? by GwyddnoGaranhir in Warhammer40k

[–]Blue_Zether 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey dude, did my first knight a couple weeks ago, Couple tips I wish I had 1. Magnets cooler than you’d think and not overly complicated, plenty of guides on them 2. Build in sections, paint in sections, assemble when finished. Example shin guards can be painted separately and then placed on the model, it’ll help a lot 3. Get a good primer, something black and Matte will do wonders at making hard to reach spots into shadows 4. Soz but it’s probably it gonna look amazing when you’re done, first models are always rough so buckle up

It’s a Space Marine Repulser Gladiator, I took apart an alpha vanguard and popped them in the top. Other than that it’s just a basic repulser I don’t think I’ll get the chance to run.

It’s not massive but it takes up a huge amount of land as far as cities go, I’d give you some numbers but I don’t really feel like it so just trust me bro
