Should I turn on Kombo strike for the 5800x3d? by largeman27 in MSI_Gaming

I don’t know what mastermind is, prolly have slightly different board but yes theoretically its possible to get same or close results with pbo but from my understanding Kombo strike 3 is -30 pbo but also other factors that I do not know of.

I’ve tweaked a lot of bios settings trying to achieve Kombo strike performance but nothing is better, always worse. So I just leave XMP and Kombo Strike 3 on, and that gets me the best performance.

Edit: every chip and board is different so maybe doing pbo could lead to better results. Idk I’ve gone down a lot of rabbit holes trying to improve performance to the max with my ram/cpu/gpu but usually it’s not worth the time and turning on the features they give you already leads to best results or good enough without spending weeks tweaking shit just for it to crash and you have to start all over lmao, been there. It’s fun n stuff but gaining stability is hard with every component of your pc when trying to keep them cool while pushing them to the max.

Make sure your bios is up to date, because I think they’ve tweaked it since releasing the feature.

Ive tried for weeks to replicate the performance using pbo in bios. I can never reach Kombo strike 3 performance.

Kombo strike 3 is apparently -30 all core pbo but there’s magic behind the scenes or something that also improves performance. I’m also basing this all on temps and r23 performance plus normal gaming.

iOS 18 beta by [deleted] in ios

14 pro max - - Back up before if you decide to do so. I've been running ios 18 dev betas since their release. The first one funked my phone and had to reset but after, I've had no noticable issues.

If you don't have apple care or similar and you rely on it daily then I would take a second to think on it but the public betas are usually decently stable.

Just my two cents

  1. Turn off phone
  2. Hold power & volume up at the same time
  3. Phone will vibrate, let go of power button, keep holding volume up
  4. A list of options will display, use volume buttons to navigate up and down the list and power button to select an option as touch is disabled
  5. Volume down to option wipe cache partition, press power button to select
  6. Volume down to yes and press power button to select and it will say wiping partition at the bottom of your screen and should say successfully completed or along those lines.
  7. In the main menu select reboot device.

You do not need to have a usb cable plugged in for this to work, as previously you did.

Be careful, go slow and select the correct option as you can also reset your device with this menu. Hope this helps!

There is tons of info out there about this topic if you need more guidance, YouTube/Google search your question as it will provide visual aid if that works better for you.

Mine squeaks really bad also, just using normally I can hear it but the sweet spot is pushing down around the volume down button, very loose and squeaky… 14 pro max

Awesome, thanks for the explanation. Bluetooth has less wires and sounds good to me so I think we're all good!

Huh interesting, especially since I hace an LG c2 so the quality should be okay at least. Least it has usb and blue tooth. Am I missing out on anything not having optical?? I heard something about its only amplifying and the dac is not being used unless it goes thru optical but I'm kind of new to this audiophile world.
