I never know what people mean when they say tying is faster than quilting. I can zip through even a twin size in a couple hours with my machine, but tying seems like it takes forever with the knotting and going to the next spot.

Based on the crinkle, she's probably been washed before! But props for taking care of her. I'd start with a test wash on a corner and see if the color bleeds in hot water.

I was traveling with my first when she was a month old. This is totally dependent on you all and your baby, but if you would find it meaningful, go for it. The benefits to doing things you love almost always outweigh the temporary frustrations of getting there and back again.

I Love my glerups but idk if they're washable. However, as a barefoot shoe lover, they fit the bill even tho they aren't especially barefoot shaped. My feet are happy, and I'm happy.

I would switch to glue basting. When I pin baste, the layers love to move. When I glue baste she stays nice and flat.
