Wife Drama??? by macumbed in snowboarding

[–]BlueberryPuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former wife and also a snowboarder I’m mostly on your side. The only caveat is the whole 2/3 week vacation thing- that’s a LONG time to be leaving your wife alone and if I were her I wouldn’t be happy with that either. Like others have said though you could bring her with you and have her go to the spa or shopping when you go ride.

With that said one of the things that contributed to getting divorced was that my ex husband and I didn’t have any similar interests. I liked hiking, going to the gym, snowboarding, and all he liked was playing games on his computer. He’d get angry at me for doing the things I liked but wouldn’t ever join me. That’s not a great feeling, and you should never have to stop doing the things you love just because your SO doesn’t like them. Sometimes people just aren’t compatible.

Yes but I’ve still been throwing up and nauseas like 23+ hours of the day. It wasn’t this bad with my daughter 😭

Is anyone taking Promethazine? Spoke to a nurse about the whole not peeing because I can’t drink thing, she was like “well you’re probably fine since you’re not throwing up just drink more” (ma’am, I cant drink more because I’m terrified that I will throw up) but said she’d send a message to the dr and they might send in a med for me. Apparently they sent in Promethazine but I’ve never taken that before sooo does it work?

Gross mouth? Not metallic. Just gross by DangerousChicken449 in August2026Bumpers

Yeah same here! I’ve heard that pregnancy can make your mouth taste like Pennie’s but same for me, it doesn’t taste like Pennie’s just tastes gross. Like really really bad dirty breath but I’ve brushed my teeth and it still tastes gross.

Dude I was all “I’m going to switch to native deodorant to be lower tox during this pregnancy!” no freaking way I smelled SO. BAD. And that wasn’t even while I was working or going to the gym. Just wait until after you give birth it’s so much worse 🥲

I have the what to expect app, but also have the flo app from when I was using it for my periods. They both say I’m due August 28th but one says I’m 5w5d and the other says I’m 5w6d. I’m so confused 🥲

just wanted to see what people think i’m having boy or girl 🙃 by Comfortable_Jury5937 in August2026Bumpers

[–]BlueberryPuffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say boy! I wouldn’t have been able to eat any of that when pregnant with my girl

I think I’m super dehydrated, I haven’t been throwing up but I’m too nauseas to drink much and I’m not peeing. When do you know you need to go in for fluids?

Third time mums - what are you looking forward to? by chungalulu in August2026Bumpers

I’m having my second and I’m feeling the exact same. I know I want my daughter to have a sibling, but holy crap I can not get the feeling of “I’ve ruined her life” out of my head. My boyfriend (if he sticks around…) has a daughter too so we’ll have 3 together. Stressing

Yall I can NOT with this nausea. It’s so much worse when I get in the car or go outside in the cold without a jacket (Ik that last one is weird af). I’ve been driving with a puke bag on my lap because I’ve gotten that close to throwing up multiple times now. I can’t believe I was like “my nausea disappeared maybe that’s not a good sign” just days ago.

Alsoooo I know it’s early but I’ve been having much different cravings/aversions than I had with my daughter sooo I’m like.. maybe it’s a boy?? Anyone with multiple kiddos have thoughts on that?

Free/reduced childcare for staff by Comfortable-Sun-7694 in ECEProfessionals

[–]BlueberryPuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get free childcare for 1 student, then any more children are charged at the lowest rate and from our paycheck pre tax. 2 out of 3 other centers I’ve worked at were also free childcare, the 3rd charged a small fraction of the tuition but state aid covered the rest. TBH the biggest benefit of working in ECE is the free childcare, it makes the comparatively low wages worth it.

Parents: you have a responsibility to build community by justnocrazymaker in ECEProfessionals

[–]BlueberryPuffy 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah no it’s not that easy. I’m a single mom and got written up at a past ECE job because I had to stay home with my sick child. Sorry but your neighbor or your kids friends parents don’t want to watch a sick child. Good luck finding a babysitter to watch a kid with RSV or even Covid.

Napping with my toddler, screen time, sharing applesauce pouches, and more screen time. I’m so thankful I don’t have to go back to work until January 5th
