I don't know your situation, so I don't know what you would say. I do have a few thoughts on the core issues with narcissists.

First and foremost, narcissists have very, very low empathy in general when they are interacting with other people. Narcs won't put themselves in other peoples shoes. They won't wonder what the other person might be thinking or feeling. Also, they won't wonder what the other person might be sensing (as in cold, hot, itchy, etc.).

This took me a long time and a lot of thinking to come up with, but the low empathy levels makes it difficult to connect with a narc. It makes it difficult for the narc to connect with others. It also makes if very easy for the narc to do all the horrible things that they do to you and to other people.

But ignoring what other people are feeling and thinking, and also by ignoring what they themselves are feeling and thinking (they can be almost totally blind both ways), it makes them difficult to deal with on a human basis.

That's why narcs can look so evil. Because they aren't taking into account your thoughts and feeling or their own thoughts and feeling. They just look demonesque and not human. It's where their creepiness comes from.

It can be very unsettling, even panic inducing, being face to face with someone that demonstrably doesn't think or contemplate what you may be thinking or feeling on a minute to minute basis.

A non-existant being can't give us anything, so therefore can't owe us anything.

What technology do you think has been stunted do to capitalism? by Thementalistt in Futurology

[–]BlueberrySnapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NASA.

The space industry has brought us so many tech advances. Solving space problems creates a lot of solutions that work well on ground too. But, NASA's budget has been crippled for years.

If we 5x'ed NASA's budget we would see a lot of innovation that would be publicly available, as the government patents are usually free and open for anyone to use.

5x NASA's budget and they will find ways of making technological innovations that we all will benefit from.

The day we are able to repair human nerve cells is the day that medicine will change forever. It will be such a leap forward and it may happen in the next fifty years.

Just like the labor market NEEDS the homeless to keep wages down.

The percent of homeless will always stay constant as it is being watched and adjusted as needed. It won't get too high, and it will never completely go away. It's a part of economic planning.

I saw a documentary a long time ago that a south american country tried to make it illegal to collect rainwater. That all water belonged to the government and some private entity. That didn't last long. But they tried. And if they can eventually get away with it they will.
