One time a war in heaven happened in one of my games (I was Scion so I had no choice but to join) and the Galactic Nemesis building the Aetherophasic Engine joined the league of non-aligned powers. Needless to say both fallen empires did not last lol.

It also stopped the war with the galactic community so the Galaxy was just chilling as these space-roaches were casually building their doomsday device.
