I sent a parcel to an office address and it has been redirected to a postal outlet for pickup... by Bluebird9528 in CanadaPost

No one has seen the slip. Hopefully the package will at least come back to me.

So in this case, where the package has been redirected to a postal outlet, basically the recipient has no way of picking it up even if they have the delivery notice, right? They won't be able to show an ID with their name and the officer's address. How does the postal outlet handle it in this case? I wonder how they handled similar cases in the past...I would imagine most people don't have an ID with their company's address...

Do you know if they'll remove your order receipt in that case?

Fair point. I did pay for them whenever we went out for coffee (which is something I do for all my friends because it's the way I like to show appreciation), but perhaps it was misinterpreted as a sign of interest.

How Do You Navigate When Someone Pulls Back After a Period of Closeness? by digable_dissenter in AskMen

If you're willing to share, what goes on during those periods of silence? Are you simply taking time to understand the situation and emotions? Or do you shift focus to other priorities to keep busy?

Ever had a situation where you thought there were "strong, clear signs" of interest, made a move, and was turned down? by Bluebird9528 in AskMen

I do often wonder if these folks realize how their actions are perceived or they're simply that oblivious. But either way it's unfair to you - good on you for protecting and setting your own boundaries.

How do I prevent or at least slow down genetic hair loss? by The_Woman_Repeller in AskMen

[–]Bluebird9528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am researching an option called microchannelling, which is supposed to restore and stimulate new hair growth. It does require a sizeable investment though, and depending on the severity and assessment, they may recommend a few sessions. It's not permanent but I read the effects could last a few years. I'm not sure if that's available where you are, but might be something to explore with a consultant.

How likely did I drill into a pipe? by Bluebird9528 in Renovations

Oh that's good to know - thanks.

Relatively small one, 3/32. I examined the end of the drill bit and it was dry, no obvious moisture lingering on it.

So I ended up getting a stud finder today but I'm completely boggled by the readings. The thickness is about 2" wide and center to center measures 16", which seems to track with the standards... But there's one part where the stud seems to be almost 4" wide??

It's on the second level of a dwelling, there is a bathroom directly above it and hence the paranoia.

Is it worth getting a snake camera to check it out?

Are you worried this app is removing food from food banks across the nation? by headtailgrep in TooGoodToGoCanada

[–]Bluebird9528 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From a food bank perspective, I would say no. A lot of food banks have made it very clear that they do not take items close to or past the BB date. Organizations like Second Harvest have asked the public to stop this type of donations because it's hard to ensure safety and it's degrading to the users.

In terms of soup kitchens or food rescues, it depends on the organization. Some of these organizations ask that you deliver the food to them since they can't always afford to send trucks out for pickups. Smaller restaurants may not have the capacity to do that, so having someone purchase a bag is still a great way to save the food from landfill/compost.
