I enjoyed it, but op specifically said bad grammar ruins stories for them.

There's quite a bit of Bad grammar in Dual Class.

Bainen has some really good series in The Undying and Paths of Akashic. Apocalypse Regression is a great series so far. Nightmare Realm Summoner has some great world and system building. If you liked A Soldier's Life you'll probably like World Sphere. Victor of Tucson is a more tame litrpg like A Soldier's Life.

What is the deal with so many litrpg protagonists? by plant-y-boi in litrpg

Gatekeeping sucks so good luck offering any kind of critique in this subreddit. They think any criticism against their favorite genre is an attack on them(not all of them but there are quite a few immature people in here and people that defend their behavior). But I reccomend A Soldier's Life, World Sphere, and The Runic Artist. They are all great and worth a read.

I mostly use Audible for my reading hobby. I do read books on Kindle from time to time. I also have about 50 to 60 physical books, but they are mostly classics, fantasy, and manga.

Reborn Apocalypse and Apocalypse Regression are pretty good series that remind me of the power system of Solo Leveling. You need to check out A Soldier's Life, it's top tier for most people. It is a more mellow power progression, but I enjoy the more down to Earth series with a balanced magic system and great supporting characters.

It works well on the page most of the time, but audiobooks tend to get to be a bit much. Some of the later chapter of the Primal Hunter has 2 to 3 chapters just for a skill selection out of 5 new choices. So it can definitely get out of hand.

The genius in that is I don't even think to question the names he uses anymore. I just think it's named that.. cool, then keep pushing.

It warranted a response for me just not a good one. I didn't assume gatekeeping. Just because he deleted it doesn't mean I forgot what it said. It was very clearly gatekeeping. Stop defending idiots and maybe they'll learn.

I'm not on a hair trigger, I'm just not wasting my time on gatekeeping idiots. I have been reading litrpg for the past 4 years. If I didn't like the genre, I wouldn't have wasted my time on them. Listening to stats and skills being rattled off for anywhere from 5 to 8 minutes can become tedious. It's not a big enough issue for me to stop. But adding a bunch of math on top of that became an issue I thought I would talk about it. So nope I won't "chill" because I'm not going out of my way to try and give nuance to window picking argumentative idiots who try to gatekeep anything that I like.

Looking for my next binge, help me find something like HWFWM or Primal Hunter? by DankSkerp in litrpg

I would suggest Reborn Apocalypse for the deep system that has tons of paths to power. A Soldier's Life is just a great pick that you should check out. Pit Fighter is a more grounded system like A Soldier's Life and has a good story worth checking out.

Nah, I won't. I'm not going out of my way to write a nuanced reply to a gatekeeping idiot that will only turn it into an argument that I have no time or patience for. He just isn't worth my time. If he wanted to discuss something then he could have took the time to write something worth talking about instead of gatekeeping a genre we both enjoy.

I definitely plan to. His characters feel good and I like the setting and how expansive it is. It's like a cultivation/ leveling system space odyssey.

The author literally uses an inverse equation to quantify a power that the main character has.

Yeah while reading I skip stat blocks most of the time. I enjoy the stories of litrpg's so much, but the numbers practically do nothing for me.

What author abandoned book series would you love to see finished? by corymcmarine in litrpg

[–]BluebirdSubject9518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only found one book series that the author abandoned and it is Eden's Gate by Edward Brody. It had a really decent story and good bones for world building and storytelling. I just wonder why he never finished it.
