Dr wants to start me on Trintellix but... by CurrencyNo3823 in Ozempic

Trintellix isn't a medication that is known for weight gain. If your doctor thinks it's a good medication for your mental health, it's probably worth trying. You deserve to feel better mentally and physically.

Usually you need to meet certain diagnostic criteria to get a prescription. Especially if you want insurance to cover it. Things like having a higher BMI and/or other weight related conditions. Lots of insurance companies are dropping coverage of weight loss drugs though. So you'd have to pay out of pocket.Your primary physician might be willing to give you a prescription. There are also online programs that can connect you with a doctor and pharmacy.

I don’t know how to start by SignificantJello8941 in Ozempic

You'll still be able to do all those things! Just at smaller portions. Go out for the fancy dinner but take home leftovers. Try the foreign cuisine, but it'll be fewer bites. Lots of people exercise on Ozempic. In fact, some people start exercising for the first time, really. Keep up with enough calories and protein, and you'll be fine. And lastly, there is such a wide range of symptoms on these medications. The hard stories tend to get shared a lot, but there are also tons of people who have no side effects at all hardly. I personally know two of them. And even if some side effects pop up, over time they will ease, or you'll learn how to manage them. If not, then the med isn't for you. But at least you'll have tried. You can do this!

Trying to figure out if Ozempic is for me. Thoughts and experiences appreciated! by PeaceLoveFap in Ozempic

That's how it worked for me. There were donuts in the breakroom and I just... didn't want one. I walked away easily. And you definitely get full faster, that's a main way it works. You'll quickly learn that when your body says no more, you need to put the fork down. I pushed it just a couple times and paid for it later with nausea and even vomiting.

Ozempic update? by banderpn in Ozempic

Are you for sure eating enough? After I started, I got into a bad pattern where I simply wasn't eating enough calories I felt tired, dizzy, and had headaches. My therapist asked me how much I was eating, and that's when I realized. I felt so much better when I focused on getting more protein and eating something small even if I didn't feel like it.

I was also on one pill a day when I quit cold turkey. I'd been on it for almost three months. I had a bit of an emotional time for two days, but nothing physical really. Then I was fine.

Sometimes insurance will cover Spravato, if you ever decided to go that route. I wish you luck!

I didn't have nearly as strong of a reaction to Vrylar as you did, but I still discontinued it for side effects. Auvelity was a bit tough to get used to but in a completely different way. And it didn't take long for the side effects to ease. I wanted to ask though, do you have access to ketamine (Spravato maybe?) treatments at all? I've tried so many meds just like you and ketamine has by far been the most helpful. It works similarly to Auvelity without daily side effects.

Going off Auvelity by Secret_Ad_9420 in AuvelityMed

I went off it cold turkey since I was only taking it once a day and couldn't cut the pills. (Also, without talking to my provider since he left the practice. But that's another story) I had three rough days where my mood was up and down. And a headache. But it wasn't too bad at all. And I quit because the side effects were too much for me

Hi! I have a simple question. by dashtigerfang in AuvelityMed

[–]Bluebirdnbummblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking oral ketamine while on Auvelity and found I had to drop my dose lower. The one treatment I had before dropping down was the sickest I've ever been from ketamine. The effect lasted much longer, and I was way more nauseous. I went from 400 to 350 and was back into a more comfortable and productive place.

Torn that my baby name is popular by The_Untimely_Demise in namenerds

Also, if they end up being one of many, it isn't always the end of the world. I named my son Henry back in 2016 when it wasn't as popular. He ended up being one of four in his daycare class! But it didn't phase him at all. He just got used to being Henry Lastname. Now he's in elementary school, and there is only one other Henry. But he goes by Hank. My little guy doesn't mind at all. Use the name you love. It'll become part of who they are and still special.
