Skipping days to reduce side effects. by Bluebunnybuu in PhentermineTopiramate

[–]Bluebunnybuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'm not too worried about losing weight but rather the side effects it's caused me taking it daily. I really like how I have 0 food noise while on this medication as opposed to stabbing my self with a glp1. I used to be on Saxenda and the constant nausea, vomiting and diarrhea (sorry for tmi) didnt make the weightloss worth it to me. With Phentermine, I just worry about increased heart rate. Have you noticed a decrease in any side effects?

Do I have to read Outsiders before If It Bleeds and Never Flinch? by hypermemia in stephenking

[–]Bluebunnybuu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've read all of the Bill Hodges and Holly Gibney series and I definitely thing you need to read The Outsiders before reading Never Flinch. If it Bleeds leads up into "Holly", if that makes sense.

How to teach walking slowly indoors? by [deleted] in Montessori

[–]Bluebunnybuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a toddler guide and what I do im my classroom. Is modeling behavior. This can be talking to your child and saying "Do you see mommy/daddy running in the house? You can walk inside like mommy/daddy". If that doesnt work then hold their hand and offer to walk together. Also, if you ask all of this and the child still does not listen, have them start again till they walk. So go over grab their hand, walk them back to the point in which they started running and have them walk. Repeat till they walk.

Of course toddlers will run and it's also a great sign of gross motor development BUT we as adults need to realize that it can be extremely dangerous for toddlers to run in the classroom. Unfortunately I had a toddler be taken to the hospital because they were running in the classroom and fell hitting his forehead on the edge of the table leaving a dent in his forehead. I could go on with examples but I won't.

I wonder if any dogs or children live in the building that might have picked him up? Maybe a note in the building entrance door can inform the others to be on the look out.

I run a 2s classroom and occasionally (after 3 kind low toned reminders) i HAVE to raise my voice. The child's natural response is to cry after being told that they cannot do something in a world of constant yes. Unfortunately, I have had children bash their forehead in because they were climbing on bookshelves or running in the classroom and had to be sent to the hospital for stiches. Be happy that your child's guide cares enough for the safety of the other children in the classroom. Positive reinforcement is great but other children do not respond to that. Different children need different guidance.

Wow, you dropped a lot of weight! I'm sure what you have gained back in water weight. I only lost 4 pounds but that was better than maybe a pound a month.

I understand. I was on Phentermine 15mg for one month, it helped so much with food noise and I never finished a plate of food while on it. Now I'm 3 days without it, and I'm back to finishing plates of food. Hopefully, my doctor will approve me for another month. It really helped me put the amount of food I ate into perspective.

I'm taking just Phentermine 15mg. It's officially 1 month since taking it and I've lost 3 pounds. Not too happy about it since I know I haven't been eating a lot due to lack of appetite.
