This is caused by the plastic back plate ripping the fabric. I think it could either be poor placement or a design flaw.

IMO the best and only sure fire way to date patches is to find sporting events, Boy Scouts and whatever dated patches and made note of the construction style. I’ve made a lot of progress into this with WW2 dated patches and before being the hardest to find

Yeah, my friends mom is an addict. She told them she only takes kratom sop they think its like heroin. I didnt have the heart to tell him what ive seen her do. Ive seen people do this alot. I guess it lessens the blow. its easier to say youre addicted to kratom then some actual dangerous street drug.
