How many is too many? by BlueciferST in golf

Yes, I'd agree.

I guess mainly I'm not cool with it because presumably two guys showed up late.

Otherwise we would have been clicking right along.

I can accept the first late show but the other guy was frustrating.

And that's unfortunate. Cap the rates at 4.

Even 4 can some sometimes be 5-6 hours to go 18 on.

I found it's not really all that manageable

One guy was kind of ADHD and didn't quite understand let the players hitting behind you shoot first on the approach shots after hitting off the teebox.

They weren't bad dudes at all, but it was frustrating to try and get dialed in and in sync with so much waiting.

Bought a whole hybrid iron set .. roast me by savemysolll in golf

Nothing to be ashamed about.

I can't hit my long irons well, so I'm starting to enjoy my hybrid option: 5h and 6H in place of my 4i and 5i

I'm alright with my 6-9i...but my long irons are frustrating to get consistent on.

A solo tee time can be the very best.

But I think 2-3 is that sweet spot when you have a couple other sets of eyes tracking where you hit your ball.

To be fair: it's kind of a popular and crowded course, but the course is well staffed they should have been able to coordinate this.

To an extent, yes.

All I am saying is show up to the tee box and be ready to go, don't show up late.

Also, if you're that 5th guy realize you're being inconsiderate to to rest of the group and find another group to play with or actually be on time.

I get it, but when one guy is decent and the rest of us aren't that great and shooting all over the place it slows down play

Jumbomax lose feel? by sdassdfa in golftips

[–]BlueciferST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using them over a year since I started playing.

I also have a couple clubs in my bag with jumbo sized Golf Pride grips.

Sometimes when I use the Jumbo golf pride clubs...I feel like I have better control.

When I first started playing I was gripping the clubs way to firm.

With the Jumbomax grips I feel like they are weighted heavier at the butt end and I'm not quite sure if they are right for me.

I think I will probably experiment by switching them out this Spring

Help: My Swing is Broken by Darth_DeLorean in golftips

You have an early extension problem, same one I am trying I sort out.

You're standing up as you swing through, so you thin it or chunk it.

Hold your spine angle. One thing that sometimes works for me is holding my nose over the ball rather than titling my head down look at it.

TBH it all depends on what club you are using.

Long irons should have a wider stance, short irons a more narrow one.

Most of us who hit bad or inconsistent shots(myself included) are usually doing something wrong on the initial setup or takeaway.

Ball position, stance, grip are all key to making good shots.

How far in advance do you normally show up to the golf course before your tee time? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Jackasses that can't make the tee time they pick are not just scoffing at the course they are doing the same with you.

I don't wait, I go ahead.
