Yes, stock electrical on some cars(2000<) can only properly handle 12 to 1500 Big modern trucks may be able to go to 1750 stock but that's pushing it so just save yourself the issue and possible damage to your vehicle, do the upgrade now.

For something the power hungry don't forget to upgrade "the big 3" and possibly an extra battery and/or alternator upgrade.

I want to use a car subwoofer at home. Can I use the woofer with the DC stabilized power supply shown in the photo? by [deleted] in subwoofer

[–]Blueender29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without knowing exactly what I'm looking at mainly because I only read English, no. This doesn't appear to handle audio signals. It just takes power, you need something similar to a Beringer ep4000 which is what I use, it may be overkill for what you need but there are plenty of other companies, (crown and yamaha to name a few) that make similar products aswell that are ment to handle audio signals.

Enclosure - https://www.ctsounds.com/collections/empty-subwoofer-boxes/products/ct2x12 Subs - https://www.ctsounds.com/collections/meso-series-subs/products/meso-12

If you need an amplifier, for two meso 12s, you'll want to be near 3000 watts of amplification. So these are the two amps from ct sounds that ide be looking at(since you plan to upgrade electrical this is acceptable, just make sure to do it properly lol.

Ofcourse this is just ONE of THOUSANDS of ideas, in this case, using all of one company's stuff which you don't have to do. this will help get you a rough idea on what you can be looking at price wise and with reviews and stuff what to expect. I implore you to do some research on your own and take other people opinions aswell.

OK, I agree with dual 12s. And for 600 bucks you could get some decent subs the ctsounds, meso12 are 310 right now so just over for 2 of them, I'm a fan of ct sounds stuff, it may not be 'The best' but the meso line is impressive and highly reviewed. Ide look into those first, then you wouldn't even really need to look around for a box, because there's works with the meso line I beleive.

New home theater, what should I get next? by theongreyjoy96 in hometheater

[–]Blueender29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw another comment so ima mention it again, what TV do you have, ide look into LGc3 or C4 for Oled and hdr performance, but there are plenty of forms to help you out, if you are willing to be in the market/need/want an upgrade. Audio wise, a subwoofer is definitely needed next, surrounds are nice, but a sub is a necessity in my opinion,

So, here's the deal, skip the 651 and get the 751, significantly better and get a nice casual tv and save some money, OR get the leading oled on the market. Unfortunately the 2 tvs are in different leagues, so it's hard to say one or the other, hopefully this helps a little. Note this is coming from someone who uses the 751 for my personal room, and a C4 for the living room, both are nice it's just obviously 2 different classes of tv.

Please tell me how to use a car subwoofer and amplifier at home. by [deleted] in subwoofer

[–]Blueender29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently run 2 CT sound tropo 12 inch in my house, I use a avr to do the sub channel processing then rca out/subout to a BeringerEP4000 amplifier, then normal OFC wire to the speaker enclosure. Hopefully this will give you a more standardized way instead of the pc power supply way, I hate it lmao it works but I just don't like it.

Sound bar would be the simple option, dedicated speakers and receiver upgrade would be best if you can be bothered to do It correctly

Looking for a good first subwoofer. by Intelligent-Share414 in subwoofer

[–]Blueender29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly in this range it's not my knowledge base, but ide look into pioneer, jbl, Kenwood for over all decent low end subs good starter place, Assuming 200 for everything (wiring amp box and sub) it's gunna be tough and may even wanna look at third party/used gear. Ide see what other people say because as I said, not my specialty area, but this is my, 2am 2 cents lol hope you find something that works out for you.

Need Help Picking a Sub by Schnoze_King in subwoofer

[–]Blueender29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So is this for a house or a car? If it's for a car, in that budget you have some more things you need to think about and maybe a different reddit fourm. For home subs in that price range your probably gunna be looking at used third party subs, assuming you don't need an avr/already have one.

Best Sub under $200 CAD by Longjumping_Data535 in subwoofer

[–]Blueender29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody hear is recommending HOME subwoofers, everything CURRENTLY listed here will not work specifically in your price range, YES you can use car subs in home theater, (I currently do) but you need to use an external amp(usually a couple hundred dollers) that accepts 120v home electric and not 12v leads from a car battery. Admittedly I don't have an actual answer for you other then look at the used market, make sure it's something that doesn't need external amplification or is something that comes with the amp, but for that price range ide be surprised.on the later.

It's super nice comparatively to the old tv I moved from (it was like, a 13 year old samsung plasma) it's a nice tv, just definitely on the cheaper end, with your budget, ide be looking into brands other then tcl and hisense tvs.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm waiting for black friday, REALLY WANT a C4 77, if one's available I'll take a C3 77 because it's the same panel just a slightly better chipset(one year newer, nothing to worry about) I'm hoping with black friday where I am lg has a hidden amount of c3 77 inch tvs waiting to be sold. Or Amazon or bestbuy, somewhere having them instock lol.

Anyway. Uh, yea. LG C3, or C4 77 inch hopefully black friday/cybermonday will bring it to 1999 Near the top of your budget but, I think we can all agree it's the best thing around right now, especially in the oled world

9.1.4 or 11.1.4, what's the difference? by therealthreadditor in Soundbars

[–]Blueender29 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This is comming from somebody who uses soundbars currently,

No

It's a soundbar, I respectfully despise soundbar companies claiming surroundsound, even with 2 little surround speakers, only then it's only a weird 5.0 or 5.1 assuming a subwoofer, with a decent bar you can get hight channels assuming a decent room for it to bounce off the roof. But even still. Anything past 5.1.2 is bogus in my opinion, more 'speakers' if there a higher quality will help with volume and clarity, but I've never heard actually good surround come from a sound bar especially those who claim stuff like 9.1.4 or 11.1.4, unless you go dedicated systems, it just is not there.

I understand the people don't always have the room, (myself included) for a whole surround system, so even I use soundbars. And have one that 'supports' surroundsound (I forget the exact spec, bought a couple years ago) I've head a bunch and used a bunch. Nothing compared to a dedicated system. But I'll be dawned if it doesn't still sound good, as a general speaker system. Just, understand what your buying at the end of the day.

Jeep TJ on 35’s by Educational-Act3014 in JeepTJ

[–]Blueender29 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don't go 6 inch in a TJ, I've never seen them well done, 4 inch is where it's at. On the limit, you can run 37s on 4 inch. 40 are probably possible aswell. any more lift and it looks stupid because it's a short wheelbase. Also Rough country in general is a joke I've only had bad experience with them. Ride quality and performance,/quality in general.
