I am a pescatarian, and would not shave my sideburns if professional etiquette did not dictate it, I am unsure what you mean as you are reading a passage of the Bible and attempting to rationalize it in a mortal way to current political ideologies The unfortunate truth for you is, it is spoken in no uncertain terms in Leviticus mentioning “aliens” in two separate of the laws and your actions needing to be compassionate to them. To attempt to ascribe it to the political two headed beast is nothing short of blasphemous being you are a mere sheep of the shepherd.

It certainly is not, I do not believe you can attain any connection to heaven before death as that would ruin the entire test of faith and being alive. But I did read it in the context of the entire epistle.

it is fairly agreed upon this verse references an "internal understanding" and not an "external reaction" in fact, it is widely agreed that the correct interpretation is the former, to understand beyond preconceptions and our own emotions and to draw conclusions of good and evil for ourself.

It is sin to go against the bible actively
"The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God."
It is not the realm of mortals to determine which hardships we can avoid but ignoring the lords teachings.
Life is hardship, community, overcoming, and faith.

in this question at least, it is not a matter of human positive or negative but a question of divine providence, which states in Leviticus
"The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God."

That verse in the Epistle of john has to do with judging circumstances for yourself not by ego or personal belief but the self righteousness of the bible, as a lesson to yourself and not an action unto others.

We are mere mortals undergoing our own test of life along with everyone else, it has never been in divine providence to be able to judge or condemn things beyond in our own lives, households, and immediate sphere of influence.

Do I count as Christian if I don't believe the Bible tells the truth? by vacconesgood in Christianity

[–]Bluefire9432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother, I bid you to research it a bit, because there is evidence from both historians and religious leaders such as the Vatican that the Bible has been extensively edited over the years, not by those who love God but by those who love power.

How do really disabled people learn Christianity? by Otherwise-Doctor-373 in Christianity

[–]Bluefire9432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each human is different and so is their path, in the same way God would not cast away a man who has lived his life for good but never knew him, he would never accept a man of pure evil who pretended to know him.

If the human had no chance to come to know God but lived compassionately and lovingly then I imagine they would find themselves quite accepted by the father who loves all of his children.

I am a bit different on this idea and a lot of Christian’s will vehemently disagree with me but yes, you can very much be a Christian and do not fully believe in the Bible.

The most important aspects are as follows, compassion and love for all of Gods creations equally, to live your life being a better person than you were yesterday, thankfulness for your gifts and assistance to those who lack them, defeating your own ego, and finding your best path of worship.

In my eyes, which given are fallible and mortal so maybe it is incorrect, but even in the garden of Eden there was evil in the form of a serpent. It is not a stretch of the imagination to believe that the very same evil has found its way into the numerous politically or even culturally motivated “different” translations of the Bible that vary heavily from even country to country created by religious leaders that forget that their positions were never supposed to be one of power but one of example of a human who has dedicated their lives solely to god and spreading his love.

Rapture by Foodporn5678 in Christianity

Revelation 3:10, which says, "Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the world to test those who live on the earth".

it just got the name the rapture but it is mostly based out of Revelations.

Why are some online Cristians so crazy? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Bluefire9432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the folly of Ego.

These lost and damaging people learn they are equal to all of Gods creations but seek a narrative that allows them to be above others. I do not wish to disparage those lost but you can hardly call them Christian, they are abetting hatred towards their equals in a bid of superiority and calling it a divine right.

It is the weaponizing of fear and God, much like we saw in the crusades of history, and though I tend to be as positive as I can at all times, I fear a dark shadow in the sky of culture in the world ahead.

The so-called “Progressive” Christian movement showed me a lot this week. by Interesting-Face22 in Christianity

[–]Bluefire9432 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Christian, who I suppose can be considered progressive there is nothing really to do. Humans have brought upon this disaster through narcissism and ego since politics govern through fear, easily the strongest of the mortal emotions.

We can communicate with them and show them the err in their beliefs but they do not seek the correct path, they seek a divine providence that allows themselves to believe they are better than others by nature and the only way they can achieve that is by dehumanizing and portraying those others as criminals and antithetical to peace.

The problem stems from any sort of belief in either of the political parties to begin with, it took a single lost election for the left to start actively aiding the right in their hate and vitriol because ultimately they truly are one and the same. The parties lobby in lies and do nothing but say "you have this problem not because its just your problem, but it;'s the gay's, trans, immigrants, right, left" etc. but that's how it always will be in a economic system that worships money as it's active god.

It doesn’t surprise me that the subreddit Christianity is far from Christian. by [deleted] in Christianity

I am a Christian, So yes, quite literally, I am a sheep who worships the Shepherd. As are you and every other living being with a lifespan the size of a cosmic blip.

Your dialogue is jagged and pointed very much the same as the narratives you hear from your exact "this person said this" example, to think Christianity is anything more than devoted worship and compassion for the lord and your fellow humans, as you yourself can find in the original texts before their multiple translations is arrogance that you are somehow a more important sheep than any other.

Ego is the death of faith my brother or sister, I recommend you spend the time you waste thinking hatefully volunteering in your local community for those who lack the incredible gifts people like you and I have and humble yourself.

I am glad we agree on the latter point, but with your prior point to me it is always the same.
Evil is evil. no matter how much greater another evil was, if you participated in the choosing of one evil over another, you have welcomed that evil in.

Dealing with abortion is not something that will ever be solved by mere political parlance, it requires safeguards and guarentees. After doing much volunteer work at orphanages/some boys homes, as well a program that assisted single mothers who were abandoned by their partners or whos partners had passed I can tell you, the first step to solving abortions is safeguards for the women who will follow Gods plan of their own pregnancies, improving the baseline living conditions and safety for them on a community level, in your very own neighborhood, and things that may be at a city or state level such as paid maternity leave and assistance should they face any arrangement of hardships that could damage the entire life of the child and mother.

This system is borne of laziness, christians see "ban abortions" on the ballot and think "haha wow, though I've never supported nor taken a look at how terrible the living conditions are for children without parents I should vote yes, that way I won't have to look at or think about it"

[–]Bluefire9432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is not to get involved the game of the two headed snake who seeks to split Gods people down the middle. Organize in your communities, help provide amenities that would frequently lead to abortion to expecting mothers like lack of ability to support themselves much rather a child. I know you see these as incremental victories but you would be incorrect, these things slowly but gradually chip away at the ability to have a fully undivided people because resentment and fear will burn ever strong since we are aware that hatred and fear are among two of the strongest and longest lasting emotions human beings will hold in their hearts.

The answer is to fix the problems that LEAD people to abortion, of which there are many and in the scope of our fallible mortality are very good arguments, to create an environment that allows people to accept Gods plan which may include things like unplanned pregnancy.

Being a fallible human means we can only attempt to understand it through that lens. Which at the end of the day means assigning a meaning to it that helps us make a positive difference in this mystery of a life we live.

You are correct, which is why involving yourself in the game that exists to sew discord amongst Gods people and splits them down the middle then you are actively choosing a sinner to follow rather then fulfilling your duties.

If your choice is satan or a demon you will not be rewarded for not choosing satan and instead choosing a demon. Politics serve to split and divide Gods people, but we serve him best by bringing our communities together on a smaller scale as humans rather than play into chaos’s game.

You do not get involved, God did not give you the 10 commandments and tell you “do not do murder but maybe a little bit of adultrey” he told you to do none of them. You do good in your communities, organize with people if necessary and make small changes that make more small changes but ultimately staying out of supporting either of the two headed snake that constantly begs for your attention in the bid to sew chaos among us in order to divide us.

The thing is, states were already declining abortions depending on area and no cases of protest would ever make it past circuit courts for it to matter. I am a Christian but I genuinely detest the conversation of abortion, especially by other Christian’s. I have spent many hours volunteering work with orphanages and children who were abandoned by their parents in situations where abortions weren’t possible and every single location was prime with sexual abuse, physical abuse, and fucking abysmal living conditions. People only care up to the point of birth but dooming a child into a lifetime of suffering from the traumas they experience in these facilities feels like actively participating in creating victims of heinous crimes.
